We will see in like 30 minutes! I'm hoping there isn't one personally - seems they're going to pause rate cuts this year.

The long term goal is like $2 Trillion cut. That's going to lead to a lot more indirect job cuts than just that over the next few years once the revenue losses are really felt. We'll see and hopefully it doesn't have to come to that but I believe that's the Trump admins goal here amongst many.

This Administrations language has been equal parts horrifying, equal parts fascinating to hear in real time. It's actually blatantly Orwellian at times to where things like projection are not even subtle. Sometimes I think it's deliberate but other times I don't even think they're aware of it.

Highly dependent on what is available, sadly. There is a solution is to remove most paywalls though! github.com/bpc-clone/by...

One of the stupidest things I've ever read

You and me both buddy lol tbh I just wanted to tackle the idea itself as a thought experiment because I saw people really liked this and wanted to highlight why this would be horrible even if your check is higher. Trump would promise he would make it rain gold if he could and he's not doing this

Profit?

True - the thing is tho: if the executive lays off enough people, unemployment shoots up. If certain areas in the country have enough laid off people due to cuts - it leads to private sector layoffs across the country. If we enter into stagflation idk if they hold steady I think that's trump's goal.

Liquidity is dropping in the stock market as well. All assets at the moment have very shallow depth.

This is extreme and vicious.

If one of those companies crash to hundreds of thousands of people lose their jobs, and one arm of various propped up economies collapse leading to further crashing and job loss which leads to people not being able to monetarily support their communities over time.

I'm working on a map that can project unemployment rates over the next year or so - I want to see which areas will be most affected by these mass layoffs we are seeing

If you don't believe in vaccines this result simply won't matter
