1,030 so far by unofficial count. We're kinda in Trump Central here so I'm a bit shocked.

I can't say how I learned this, but the Hoffmans' daughter is 28.

Sorry to say I had to look it up. They have one child, no idea how old. I hope they have family coming to help; that kid must be terrified.

I've often wondered if temp-tattooing a bunch of extra eyes on your face like a biblically-accurate hoodlum would work.

I thought maybe they found Maurice Jackson who disappeared not far from there, but it turns out Maurice was found earlier this month. :(

Plenty to criticize about the Space Shuttle but it was super well optimized.
Kind of like all the criticisms about "big bloated government" from people who have no idea how huge it is and how well optimized it's become.

Everyone who has confidently said they'd bring back something large and/or non-gumdrop shaped back from orbital velocity and reuse it quickly has ended up making variations on the space shuttle orbiter, abandoning the "quickly" part, and using tiles.

I'm not loyal to anyone. Sergey Brin thought he was my friend until I met his wife, now she spending his Google money on RFK Jr campaigns. I'm popping South African quaaludes from P.W. Botha's private stash. Smoking illegal Zambia emeralds. I been scamming so long I sold the yellow pages to Compaq,

First thing you do when entering the dissident camp, is find the most senior fedsoc inmate and punch him right in the nose as hard as you can.
What? No, not to scare everybody into leaving you alone. That's nonsense.

Hey, I just want to give you a healthy "fuck off" while I'm here. Hope you wither up and disappear.

At least a 4? Though I'm old and I can't quite vibe with the newer posting style (less punctuation and fewer capital letters). It always reads super detached to me.
(Not a complaint, just a generational difference I guess)

Even when you've done the trades to favor fast paced incremental development, failing to get much from your third "block 2" flight attempt is just awful.

No worries. More stuff to lick.
Speaking of lick, I used to think the guy saying 'sweep the leg' at the end of Karate Kid was 'sweet to lick', and never understood the reaction. Like, okay, the weird agro sensei is into the taste of blood. That seems kind of on-brand, right?

The other side. You can see the cracks more clearly and the fiberglass mesh and epoxy covering it. Seems strong enough?

30 years ago, a black coworker said he was thinking of going back to live in Louisiana (from Minnesota) because at least there he knew where he stood.
I didn't get it then but I think about it a lot now. Pretty damning. A constant enemy causes less anxiety than an inconstant friend.
