They cherry-pick the "virtues" of these men just as they do Bible verses.
Basket of deplorables doesn't even begin to cover these people.

Would it matter? They've already greatly exaggerated $80M in savings as $80B.
By "exaggerated", I mean "lied about.

It took the Nazis one month, three weeks, two days, eight hours, and 40 minutes to dismantle a constitutional republic.
When the fire starts to burn, every good person better be ready to man a post with a bucket of water if you want to stop it from raging out of control.

I see a nation of incredibly friendly, well-meaning people who are kind of winning the whole humanity thing.
And syrup.

With the impending elimination of the Department of Education, people will be less informed and more easily manipulated than any time in the modern age.

I blame uninformed voters and those who chose not to. Democracy fails if people fail to participate.

Is it so unbelievable though? trump is a master of enraging his base, and angry voters are motivated voters. They're not particularly rational, though.

My point was that she should have continued with the investigation into Adams in defiance of trump's DOJ.

Frankly, I'd prefer it if people would tell the trump administration to pound sand and proceed with the investigation.
She was going to be out of a job one way or another. May as well go down swinging.

When they replayed the footage, I didn't see any signs of blood until his hand came up to his ear, and then it was everywhere. I kinda thought it looked staged, but what do I know?

Costco learned their lesson from the TP fiasco during the pandemic. They've limited eggs where I live to 2 packs per account. Two people couldn't buy that many eggs without a business account.

It was the Dems' job to convince the American people that their policies were superior and that they were the better party. In this, they failed.
Lack of cohesive messaging came back to bite us all.
The GOP literally advertised all the bad shit they were gonna do, and 'murica was cool with that.

Red states are going to feel it especially badly. There are no (or few) state-wide safety nets.

My concern is that MAGA is going to lash out at their perceived enemies (everyone who's not MAGA) and not the GOP leadership. trump will not lift a finger to stop them.

Ha literally has access to America's checkbook. How do you think he's gonna cut $2T in spending, and where do you think that money is going to go? Not back to the taxpayers, that's for sure.

The GOP will not reject Patel. I'd bet my next paycheck on it.
It is beneficial for Republicans to ingratiate themselves with the trump regime, at least in the short term. Loyalty is currency.
There is no downside for them at this stage of the game.
