It's not for me, but I'm surprised you've never come across actual play before. It's pretty similar to people that watch improv for fun.

I need to know what this is from 🤣

You can grab stuff without consequences = bad game design
You can grab stuff without consequences if you're crouching = good game design

10/10 list and all very much the kind of names goblins deserve.
In the crpg in working on the goblins name is Tuber Salad.

I am very very excited for this one. I also love how the "learn to play" is a choose your own adventure story!

Same! I have some minor gripes with the gear upgrade system making it hard to experiment, but otherwise it's been a blast so far.

How are you liking it so far?

They were demoted (but not fired) which means they would not have been able to do anything to stop it had they stayed.

There is apparently a tiny bit of romance for one of the companions.

Listen, I don't usually bother to reply to people like this, and maybe I should just mute and move on, m but 4e is actually beloved in much of the indie scene.
Everybody's tastes are different, and hating on things "just because" is silly.

God damnit, I'm a fucking prophet.

Unless you like [insert edition you have a grudge against here] though. Because my reasons are totally the exception and obviously valid, right?

You are making some very good points right now.

I don't know, that feels like a pretty informative explanation of how they lost both their wife and car all things considered.

These comments might be proving you wrong, Hank. Apparently many many people think they are a great idea.

Taking this advice to heart while exclusively relying my knowledge of blaseball instead of real sports.

They're still making it?!?!
Damn, time to reread all that.

Night Witches has my favorite move in all of PbtA!
The gendered finding atuff out move does such a good job of setting the tone.

I only just found out about it earlier today! Also good to know that it's platform dependent.

Also just found out there's a setting you can turn on so you can't forget! Super cool feature to have.

I suppose I can't actually speak to the quality of the story when playing a bhaalspawn that is choosing the murdery options 😅
Regardless, you probably know enough to judge whether it's for you or not. Playing an avatar of the god of murder definitely comes with certain baggage.

Ah, you definitely get violent urges as dialogue options, but you never actually have to pick them. And there are some really satisfying and tragic moments if you actively reject your father's influence.

Now I'm curious what you've heard 😅 I felt like Durge was the best way to experience the game and offered a lot more than just playing a blank slate

Thanks! I normally don't do bright colors or hard shapes, but I'm excited to see how they look on me!

I just want you to know that I'll be using these posts to terrorize my pedantic friends while being smarmy and saying things like "are you claiming you know more than one of the writers?"

OH MY GOD YOU GET ME
Cheetahs are more closely related to house cats than large cats, they even purr and meow instead of roar!

The way bluesky has handled blocklists is horrendous. I have thousands of people permanently blocked with no way to undo or tell who they are because the block list i originally subscribed to no longer exists, but everyone on it is still blocked by me.
comment in response to
post
Even more dangerous because if the block list is deleted, there's no way to unsubscribe from it and you won't be able to undo any of the blocks unless you know every single person on it.

This is incredibly on point. At every level I feel like I'm so close to making the different pieces I'm working with do something really cool, but no matter how much I move them around or test out different ideas, it never quite comes together.
