That's where I get a little bit confused as well... It feels like it'd double the possibility of a single occurrence (i.e., 2/51), but I bet that would cause issues as we'd be "double counting" them or something.

Probability and stats are definitely not my strong suit, but I think it works like this: If each card has a "next card", so the probability it's actually next is 1/51. The chance that "none of those occur" is (1-(1/51))^52 = 35% So the probability that it occurs at least once is (1-0.357) = 64%!

If they're just a bunch of layered noises functions, you could try adding an offset to the UVs based on each tiles position in the grid.

I'm interested in VR for data visualization and stuff, but that's hardly a business model.

Wrote a kNN implementation back in the day using a space tree for speedup. It wasn't the most user friendly, but it was orders of magnitude faster than brute force...

I mean there's a whole cosmology behind it, as well as interactions with a society/empire. Ultimately it's just a reason to create enemies for an FPS though, so idk how much can even be conveyed to the player...

I worry about this in my own writing/game, I've got evil goop and it does corrupt beings/people, but I think I'm alright because it's a metaphor for capitalism.

I remember hearing from a coworker years ago that you can use 3d printing in the lost wax casting process. I don't know if it was a specific filament type, but I think it's a good combo of ideas.
