Retired now - working out what that all means. Family first. A bit lefty - against miserablism and declinism. A bit too much Arsenal. Former Headteacher and Academy Trust CEO.

So... TFL have acknowledged the mistake - why is this a story? A little bit of provocation perhaps?

He quite clearly judges all others by his own standards.

Thanks.

Im not defending her. I'm asking you to qualify your statements expressed as facts. And you can't.

You are correct. I'm not an economist, but I have run a multi-million pound organisation with hundreds of employees and thousands of stakeholders!

I suspect she also has some very competent advisors with her, as well as the PM and cabinet. Leadership is a team effort.

I'm pretty sure that RR has been through some fairly rigorous processes in order to be given such a powerful job. I suspect she knows a bit more than us both. Lol!

Im asking YOU to qualify your statements. You have demonstrated that you can't. Now you're telling me that she believes the 'household economy' bit. Do you have evidence for that?
comment in response to post
Just qualify what you post in future. Based on your replies my belief is that YOU are not competent.

The opinion you stated was that RR is not competent. You are not in a position to express that as fact. When has she stated she wants to be 'tougher than the Tories on those less fortunate'? Sounds like conjecture to me.

Mmmm. Not really a qualification. More an opinion, which you are entitled to, of course. I'm prepared to guess that you don't know what makes RR happy, unless you know her personally.

Out of interest, and a serious question, what qualifies you to comment on her competence?

No. It is absolutely not. We need to get away from this national habit of miserablism and declinism. The narrative simply serves to bring us down individually and collectively. We are better than this.

Not sure most conversations about football could be described as 'important', however Bill Shankly once described the game.

Someone will get a booking for this (it will be an Arsenal player), and then it will never happen again.

What we need is for our politicians on all sides to talk up what we have, which is a wonderful city. Foreign perception of us is as a direct result of the miserablist and declinist nonsense used by many politicians to score cheap points in an attempt to boost their own chances of election.

They'll be suffering buyers remorse for years to come - way beyond 2029.

Wes Streeting describes such views as 'miserablist and declinist'. We have to ignore them.

It's not helpful to amplify this woman's views. She is not helping The UK with this speech. These views will contribute to decline, if amplified.

'Sex abuse gang'. What's the difference between that and 'grooming gang'?

And 242k people like the post. Musk is an issue, but what is wrong with the people who support and follow him?

He's also a bit of a loner, but he's not evil.

My brother fell 100ft down a cliff near Torquay. He survived to tell the tale (his rescue featured in an ITV programme). He's very thin, so he might have been blown off the cliff - he claims he 'slipped'.

The only good thing about his Presidency starting today is that we can begin the countdown to November 2028, in the hope that POTUS 48 cannot possibly be worse.

I often think of funny things to post, but either delete mid sentence or don't even start. The World has missed out!

I'm fuming. My fears have been realised. I've just overheard a conversation in the supermarket along the lines, '... Starmer is an idiot... Elon Musk is absolutely right...' I resisted the urge to intervene, but how have we come to this?

They need not only to retain them, but also attract them in the first place. That is just not happening these days.

I uninstalled 'X' a couple of weeks ago, but realised I should deactivate my account in order to register that I have left - which I did today. Sad really, that it became such a vile place to be.

I really do wish people would grow up. This petition, and the fuss surrounding it, is so childish. The next election will be in about five years' time. That's how the system works. Get over it.
