One of the great gifts my 6 year old has given me is having no interest in those books. His big brother loved them.

Now, you may not have heard of Phyllis Adams. She is a long-time Delta flight attendant and vocalist. The Carters saw her perform in 2017 at a Carter Center event and were so wowed they asked her to sing at the former president’s funeral. These details say a lot about Carter’s approach to life. 5/5

The musical tributes are also of note. Of course, you’ve heard of Garth Brooks and Tricia Yearwood. They will sing Carter’s favorite song “Imagine” by John Lennon. The lyrics are resonant with Carter’s life’s work. Carter met the country superstars through their work for Habitat for Humanity. 4/

Other notable tributes will be read by the sons of the late President Ford and Vice President Mondale. The men both wrote eulogies for Carter, but he outlasted them. Their sons will read the tributes to Carter they wrote years ago. 3/

All of the living US presidents are expected to be here, including President-elect Donald Trump. President Biden is the only one delivering remarks. He goes way back with Carter to the 1970’s when Biden was the first national political figure to endorse Carter’s run for the presidency. 2/

There’s one notable difference between the Trump transition ethics agreement and the one the Harris campaign signed. There’s a whole section about the nominee/president-elect avoiding conflicts of interest. Trump’s transition ethics agreement doesn’t have that paragraph. 3/3

As part of the agreement, the Trump transition published an ethics agreement that transition team members will work under: www.gsa.gov/governmentwi... The Harris campaign published theirs earlier this year, also on the GSA website. 2/

I’ve done two stories. And I’ve seen other major outlets doing them too.
