You are a hero ma'am!

I think their point is that trump never stopped fighting, even if he looked insane, and he was rewarded with the presidency back. If the dems at least don't do what they can, why would people bother showing up to support them?
comment in response to post
Same. It's actually been humiliating to watch.
comment in response to post
Cost is the reason all of this is happening. He should have just gotten what he needed. Period. This is why we can't have nice things.
comment in response to post
And my point was it's not necessary to hop on social media and "well actually" a young person dying. The nuance here doesn't matter. I was 22 once. Jumping through hoops for prescriptions was the last thing on my mind.
comment in response to post
Ridiculous. I'm sorry to hear this for you as well.
comment in response to post
Yeah, it's ridiculous. He should have never been sent away without it. I have no idea why we choose to live like this except actually I do.
comment in response to post
What's your point? He was 22 years old. He probably thought he'd do it later or ask his mom for help. People shouldn't have to jump through hoops for basic care. Ask yourself why you jumped on social media to defend a bunch of greedy healthcare companies.

If you started now, you'd never catch up to the work I've done for this party. No one who has actually knocked on a door would say this stuff. If you did, you'd be just as pissed off as I am. That's how i know you're a keyboard warrior. So you get to fucking work and let me know how it goes.
comment in response to post
No I would not. I don't have standards for Republicans because they don't have them for themselves. I have high standards for Dems because I am a Dem who has volunteered countless and given them my hard earned money. They are not fighting back hard enough, and it's a legitimate complaint.
comment in response to post
No, it's not. The Republicans want this bullshit. They voted to have this stuff happen, and it's happening. The issue for a lot of Dems, myself included, is that we want someone to fight this administration. The Dems currently in office just do not seem to have it in them.
comment in response to post
My god, we all live in hell now.
comment in response to post
I don't need an explanation from you about my skeet.
comment in response to post
I literally used the word... too. Meaning also.
comment in response to post
You are missing the point. This is a battle. Anything you give to your opponent is a win. We handed them 3 free passes.
comment in response to post
1. I said probably, and it's absurd to think cutting all these services won't matter. 2. In 2010, dems lost seats over Obamacare. 3. The GOP would have probably found the votes, but they didn't have to because we handed them three. Why defend this? They knew they had terminal cancer.
comment in response to post
But isn't the point that 3 Republicans got to sit out this vote. That's 3 Republicans that will probably keep their seats because they can go back to their districts and say they didn't vote for this bill. It's not lazy or unhelpful to expect dems not to run if they know they have terminal cancer.
comment in response to post
People voting for the guy who said he would use ICE to kidnap people are bad, too.
comment in response to post
Yeah, heart attacks happen. But Connelly knew he had terminal cancer when he ran again for Congress and ran to be the ranking member of oversight. This isn't hard. He was wrong, and it will likely cost lives.
comment in response to post
It makes it that much easier for the GOP to pass their reconciliation bill. The house is so close that every vote is extremely valuable. So yes, it absolutely, 100% makes not only a material difference, but a life altering one for people whose lives depend on Medicaid.
comment in response to post
This is the biggest own goal. We (the dems) are our own worst enemies.
comment in response to post
That's why they put it in quotes.
comment in response to post
It's actually breathtaking. Beautiful. The colors are perfect.
comment in response to post
That's pathetic.
comment in response to post
Yeah wtf is this? I honestly thought she was better than this kind of trash.
comment in response to post
Wow, that's so disappointing. I hope she never sees the light of day.
comment in response to post
Yes, agreed. The grandmother made the right call, and I'm sure it was devastating for her to do so. I don't think a 13 year old has a brain that's developed enough to even understand what he was going to do or the repercussions of it..
comment in response to post
Dear Lord, in heaven. I really hope the mom takes the brunt of this, and the kid can get some help to turn his life around.
comment in response to post
Same! 😅

I subscribed! I don't really use substack, but I'll work on it. For now, I'll be happy reading the emails.
comment in response to post
It's not giving up. It's that us saving these ppl from themselves is causing too much harm to the country. I don't want to end up as a handmaiden because 30% of AZ doesn't know their parent's nursing home is paid by Medicaid. Explaining it again and again isn't getting through.
comment in response to post
Yes, this is my feeling, too. We saved Obamacare and got nothing for it. The voters turned around and voted for the same people who cut it again. Now they're coming for Medicaid. So what now? Go nuts calling my senators just so voters can vote for the same people again in 2026?
comment in response to post
This is my question too.
comment in response to post
So does UPS and FEDEX.
comment in response to post
I deleted nothing.
comment in response to post
He doesn't need to be a house member to do that. Plus, not running would free up his time to do that.
comment in response to post
That almost never happens. I can't even remember the last time it.
comment in response to post
They can say what they want. You said it's ageist, and I said it's not. We're sick of losing votes because of Dems dying or having major health issues. It's happening too much because we're elected people well past retirement age.
comment in response to post
He should retire, too. This isn't hard.
comment in response to post
No, it's not. He's 84 years old. He's well past retirement age.
comment in response to post
I truly don't get their lack of action for almost anything. I get a lot is going on, but there are a couple hundred dems in the House and Senate that could each take a few actions and run with it. This is why I support David Hogg working to get rid of the useless dems. Sadly, there are too many.
comment in response to post
I work for the federal government, and I'd say 80% of the ppl who were eligible left over Schedule F. I can only speak my area, but these jobs were some of the most high-level jobs people had. I couldn't guess where they would find competent replacements if they even cared to do so.
comment in response to post
I've watched it 50 times. Unbelievable.
comment in response to post
Try working for the federal government and watching everything fall apart around you and almost no one noticing. We are beyond repair in some of these agencies. I'm not just saying this... but it will take decades to fix if it's repairable at all.
comment in response to post
At this point, I'm not even sure if we're redeemable.
comment in response to post
This is why I don't necessarily disagree with David Hogg about primarying ineffective Dems in solid blue seats. I'm just not sure he can pull it off.
comment in response to post
This is why we begged Latinos to vote for Kamala while we were canvassing doors. We heard either maybe or no because Mr. Trump will only get rid of the "bad ones." I don't think I switched one vote sadly.
comment in response to post
I honestly don't see the GOP doing that, and they did win. Maybe just run people who aren't wimps and have normal platforms.
comment in response to post
Oh, that's disappointing, too, then. I didn't know she was that bad. If more people don't run nothing will change but I understand why they don't. I ran for school board and now i have enemies I'll take to my grave. 😆
comment in response to post
Exactly, she's 78 years old. Why are people still voting like this?
