I live less than a mile from a major border crossing. In the past there would be long lines of cars and trucks (sometimes miles long) heading into the US now there are no lines (except coming into Canada from the US)

There’s a provision in the federal garnishment law that states if the federal garnishment amount conflicts with the state garnishment amount maximum, whatever amount results in a LOWER amount garnished should be followed. People need to petition their state governments to reduce to a small amount.

Democrats suggesting he shouldn’t run because he isn’t “electable” is what is wrong with the Democrat party. If he runs, wins the nomination, he can win if everyone gets off their apathetic ass and votes for the most qualified individual. Yes Kamala didn’t win but she also didn’t win the nomination.

Typical MAGA. Argue with everyone, tell everyone they’re wrong. Then get offended because no one agrees with you…back to Twitter or Fb for you….

Trudeau could’ve waited but he saw what effectTrump and his 51st state BS was having on Canadians. He took one for the team, resigned so Carney could step in as leader and call a quick election while sentiment favored Liberals.

No

It is too close to call. I’m not sure why the media is doing this….
comment in response to post
Please stop this for a while. It is still too close to call yet.

I want Carney and a liberal majority govt but it is still too close to call.

The problem is Canada has a third major party in the NDP which is pulling votes from Liberals. I have friends who are NDP supporters who claim they have to vote with their conscience but don’t accept that their vote could put Trump-lite in office.
comment in response to post
Right now I’m more angry at NDP voters than I am conservative. Voting with your “heart” (or not voting at all) is what got Trump elected in 2016 when the Bernie voters abandoned Hillary.

While it’s sad to see anyone supporting Pollievre, signs like this may help the liberal cause. I have a few friends on the fence over whether Pollievre is aligned with Maga, crap like this makes them lean liberal.

He will bail them out. Farmers love socialism.

Yes but when this actually affects maga they will just blame Joe Biden or Obama as they do not accept facts.

I took a reproductive biology course at a community college over 30 years ago and was taught there were multiple chromosomal possibilities. I can still remember being blown away that day in class. Here we are 30 years later and people still don’t get it….

If there is no due process, there’s nothing to stop them from claiming anyone isn’t a US citizen or legal resident.

In the best of times Canadians worry about violence in the US. We load up on travel insurance when visiting out of fear of needing medical care in the US. Now we also need to worry whether some power tripping border/ICE agent may decide we’re not eligible to enter and we end up in El Salvador.

I used to think that but now I think the reason Clinton &Harris failed is they weren’t “exciting” the apathetic masses weren’t inspired to vote. what drew people to MAGA was the disruption to status quo. A candidate like AOC would excite the nation. People always want change and she is change.

Seems like (if the email or post is even real) she is prob listed as the email contact for one of her clients who is being deported.

And the daughter: Riggs said. "I understand that our country cannot harbor every single person that crosses its borders. I understand that there are really bad people that we have to find." So basically she says her family member is different but go ahead and deport others…
