It used to cost the government £1500 pa to educate a Uni student. Now it costs them £9k pa (because students can’t pay back loans) and costs students 9% of their income for life. Maybe the gov should address that problem, not VC pay?

How depressing that we still have teachers with so little understanding of child protection. If children are trained to be obedient to adults in authority over them, it makes them more vulnerable to abuse. Supporting children’s autonomy and right to make their own choices protects them from abuse.
