Forget Wemby Spurs have Mamu www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCRr...

AOC is #correct on both counts.

Obviously we need to #Win in 2026, we don't need some old "democratic socialist" scratching some itch.

Bernie can really piss me off. Here he talks about encouraging future Jill Weiss or Ralph Naders. www.nytimes.com/2025/03/20/u...

Yes the @nytimes.com piece yesterday talked about Trump's "decisive" win but it was a very close election. Trump won a number of states by razor thin margins contributing to a big electoral victory, but what matters is the number of votes that would have changed the outcome.

I'm sorry but I don't think the capitulation by Weiss is a big deal. He made a #business decision. The big deal of course is the corrupt coercion by Trump.

I'd argue that the vast majority of institutions and more importantly, people, in the U.S. have not been affected at all by the punitive actions of Trump, Musk and @GOP. For them, it is literally "business as usual". Trump et al. have targeted Science and Academia precisely because we are "elite"

"There isn’t typically much money to be made developing a new drug for a small number of patients, said Christine Colvis, who heads drug development partnership programs at NCATS.

Seriously, why does Elon need to know our war plans against China?

I agree with @billsimmons.bsky.social Luka has brought back the buzz to Lakes www.youtube.com/watch?v=hF57...

The common thread through all of this is the fact these guys are all total morons.

Adrianna makes an excellent point. I am not a big fan of CBO scoring because quite frankly it is not very good. But an even bigger issue as Adrianna points out is what they choose to score. If the development of novel therapies is a CBO category then they should score the impact of NIH cuts

#BioMed

A friend drove two hours today for her breast cancer chemotherapy only to learn it was canceled due to NIH cuts. Clinical trial ended midstream. No treatment, no restart, no plan, no information. Her bro-in-law's chemo was also canceled.

I agree with Justin that the economy is fine. However, I do think that it is vulnerable to a sustained shock from #Dementia-induced tariffs.

"Klarna said in a press release that DoorDash customers will be able to pay in full at checkout, split payments into four equal interest-free installments, or defer to dates that align conveniently with payday schedules." I don't have a problem with this. #BackInTheDay some folx thought credit

I am not sure that I agree with Chris but as usual he raises an interesting point. As we know the "internal contradiction" of @GOP is that they are the political party of the rich and wealthy and advocate policies that favor the rich over the Middle Class and Lower Income. The problem of course

Take with a big grain of salt but #Good

The Cybertruck is obviously a flop. Calling it the 21st Century DeLorean is an apt comparison but it may go "too far".

Using A.I. to democratize rapid, accurate weather forecasting from multiple inputs with thousands of less time computing power than current systems New @nature.com www.nature.com/articles/s41...

My piece on NIH’s politicization, is encapsulated in the experience these scientists had, including deeply ideological language explaining their grant termination. The scientific rigor of the current review process I described is a stark contrast to this donmoynihan.substack.com/p/politicizi...

Gender is truly a spectrum as depicted in this graphic.

#AI-enabled simulations of complex systems such as weather are making significant strides.

#Good clearly #Cybertruck is not safe because of this defect but I would like to see the vandalism stopped.

JW makes a "subtle point" that I would like to explore in future #BlogPosts on #Economic #History
