Peterborough nerd. I have more random Transformers toys and mecha guys on my desk than I can count.
Yes I do wanna see your collection of little things, I don't care what it is.

I feel for you. That must have sucked. Sounds like a rowdy one.

Because our city council has proven ineffective at actually moving housing forward. I don't like the strong mayor powers, they mega stink, but if it means we actually get effective solutions to affordable housing for the people who desperately need it, I'll reluctantly agree with it for now.

As a metric for gauging success, election signs are pretty much useless, imo. Seen lots of candidates over the years who were very active in putting up signs, lots of vocal supporters, come in second or even distant third.

But we saw what living next to the tent city was like for neighbours, and it was horrible. Having a more structured living scenario will definitely help, including positive relations between neighbours and management.

I will also say, and this isn't just a #PTBO issue, but the claim you can just put these types of projects elsewhere implies there's some perfect location with no neighbours where everything will be fine. And there isn't, these types of projects are going to be close to somebody.

Considering this council's failure to meaningfully move this city forward on affordable housing, Leal included? Probably.

Well I apologize for insulting one of your favourites then! 🙃 Enjoyed my first playthrough but just could never redo it.

FF15 is a "kill time" kind of game. Tried to revisit but it's just not worth dumping 30 hours in when there's better time sinks.

I think city councils, in general, are plagued by longtime councilors who continue a "business as usual" attitude despite the fact the situation is, in fact, getting a whole lot worse. Electing eccentric and ambitious councilors does nothing if you don't rotate out the whole council.

This is a great change, but it will be even more effective with increases to active transportation and transit. Making Ptbo walkable and bikable will help actively reduce the wasted space of parking lots.

That article was so flat. I get that it was intended for Americans to give them a snapshot of the situation in Canada right now, but it just avoids talking about provincial politics, grocery stores inflating prices, real estate investors and just focuses on Trudeau and immigrants.

My luck is seriously busted in PTCGP. Opened dozens and dozens of Mewtwo packs to try and get Venasaur EX... nothing. Then I go to the next pack and get seven Pikachu EXs in the span of a few weeks.

It's shocking to me that a genre built on creativity and expression was momentarily okay with allowing plagiarism, and for such mediocre results.

I gave up on a Bloodborne remake a while ago. I thought Sony acquiring Bluepoint would kickstart that, but honestly at this point I think we should just let go of any expectations a remake is coming.

I find not only does the game explain it poorly, but I think fans trying to help often do it even worse. And they end up suggesting strategies that just overcomplicate it further, like exploiting being low level or abusing Triple Triad.
Amazing game but I don't blame anyone for disliking it.

FF8 is a game that has a ton of mechanical complexity, but explains it very poorly. It's a game you can get really deep into and master. And I love the modern-sci-fi story and characters that feel like real teenagers going through big dramatic events. Squall's got a lot of depth.

I think engagement will be an all time low. With polls predicting a Tory win by a mile, plus dazed Liberal/undecided voters put off by the leadership chaos, I think people will go "what's the point, we know who is going to win."

And I predict it's going to get worse as big Hollywood movie studios shift to appeal to the puritanical overlords in tech and government.
