The Blu-Ray looks fantastic. Definitely recommend picking it up.

It very much is. I think by now Criterion knows most people only buy their releases during 50% sales, so they mark up the MSRP higher, knowing no one is gonna buy it at that, but they still make enough profit even when bought at half off.

Criterion doesn't put bonus features on the 4K disc, to give the film as much room as it needs. So every 4K they put out is a 4K + Blu-ray & bonus features 2-disc release.

I met Robert Patrick and he told me about his brother being in NIN. Robert wanted NIN to do the soundtrack for T2, but Cameron said no, he wanted GNR. Also, Robert Patrick is the nicest guy you'll ever meet.

Fantastic slate. Happy to see Breathless be in print again with some new features. You guys are incredible.

That was my immediate thought. I hope we see Vice get a new (better) set.

From the descriptions, it doesn't sound like it. Likely the same masters used for the Kino Lorber Blu-rays. Just a bunch of new audio commentaries.

I have this and X pre-ordered. Can't wait to see how good these look.

Which is true, but they've only put out 2 albums since 2009 and each of those sold horribly. Majority of LB's album sales would have came between 1999 and 2003.

Oddly enough, Fred underestimated their future sales. To date they've sold almost 40 million albums worldwide.

Been waiting on the Arrow 4K of the Man with No Name trilogy to come out to see how much of a difference between these and the KL ones to decide if i should import.
comment in response to post
Most of these make sense being UK 4Ks, since many we already have 4Ks from other labels here. Curious about Creepshow 2 though, since Arrow did the last Blu-ray in the US and we haven't had a 4K yet.

I was at a concert at the Tweeter/Comcast/Xfinity Center in Mansfield years ago. There were two guys peeing next to each other, asking if they wanted to see each others dicks. It was weird. I wish i remember what show it was at, but i don't.

Hi Ian. Hope you're having a wonderful day. Recently got my soon to be wife into your videos and now we always watch them together when you put one out.

They just announced it with the specs. TV version is included for the first time ever on home video. It is in Standard Definition though, but probably the best we'll ever get.

I used to be in many physical media groups on FB and have left all of them. Community has gotten so awful these past few years. Whether it's the dick measuring contest of who has the biggest collection or rarest item, complaining about releases, etc. I now only follow the labels or folks of them.

The Drew Carey Show.

You can't really tell someone "Watch these episodes to get an idea of what it is." You basically have to start it from S1E1 and watch in order.

I just finished watching all of the show start to finish and I agree. Very much enjoyed the show, but for a sitcom it's very plot/continuity heavy. Very hard to find self-contained episodes.

With how long the Connery movies alone probably took, I'd be surprised if we got a full set before the end of the decade.
comment in response to post
Not sure if you plan to get it, but we are getting the Sean Connery 007 4K collection soon.

Let's be real. You just wanted a custom figure of Princess. Getting one of yourself and your wife was just an extra.

Sounds like the only incentive would be to get Sigil on the cart, rather than having to download. Doesn't seem worth it for us who have the Classic set. Unless you really don't want to own Doom 3.

Thief remains one of the best-looking movies I've ever seen in my life

YES!

Duckman for sure. A good Tales from the Crypt episode with Reeve. DS9 at 1.

I remember watching FH as a kid and thought this kid was gonna go on to have his own sitcom and be a child star. I don't believe that happened though.

It's Speed 2: Cruise Control, isn't it?

The information on Criterion's site only mentions Gilliam's DC on 4K and the Love Conquers All cut on Blu-ray.

Odd about this happening with Daylight since many people/retailers already had their copies delivered.

It's not just with movies, but the internet has made people get enjoyment out of others failures and i think this correlates with that. People also get way more engagment on articles, YT videos, Tik Toks, etc. being negative and reacting to failures than they do being positive so it encourages that.

Most of the people I know and I'm referring to can't afford a $2,000 TV. They're all using maybe store brand $100-$200 TVs. Which is also why they don't care about Blu-ray or 4k. It's not in their budget like goodwill dvds are.
comment in response to post
Yeah. I also know a lot of people who only buy dvd, not because they can't see the difference, but because they don't care about watching things in the highest quality. They're just happy to own it.
comment in response to post
I think it's because a lot of people who aren't into it don't know 4K exists, so it's easier to explain it as dvd. I've talked to plenty of people who didn't realize that another format exists past Blu-ray and also don't care to buy anything past dvd because they don't care about picture quality.

I figured you did. I just thought i remembered you posting recently, questioning why it hadn't gotten a release in the US.

When it comes to movies, if I'm not buying from the label directly, I'm buying from my local chain @bullmoosestores.bsky.social. Also a great place for books, records, and video games.
