The quote attributed to Adams here is taken from a treaty that he signed that was written during Washington's administration. I suppose it's fair to quote him as saying it since he signed a treaty stating it, but difficult to know whose words they actually were.

I give you my word that I will donate $20 to your primary campaign to replace him. Drop a link in reply to this as soon as you announce.

Cool.

If you were to spin around in a circle clapping your hands 10 times every night, you would have equal impact on tariffs that this Senate bill would have had. Choosing not to waste your time on meaningless symbolism that helps no one isn't the same as doing nothing unless victory is assured.
comment in response to post
If the bill had mattered, I'm sure he would have been there.
comment in response to post
Oh not at all, it would be much better to win. It's just that this vote and this bill are completely meaningless and do nothing to defeat him.
comment in response to post
Much, much more important than this. This vote was completely meaningless and everybody who voted yes or no on this bill knew that the bill was dead regardless of how they voted. A child's ballet recital would be more important than this.
comment in response to post
It doesn't matter, it's a meaningless symbolic gesture. Obviously Trump's not going to sign the thing.
comment in response to post
Stay strong man, you're still an inspiration.
comment in response to post
I mean this is a pretty easy game: "All of Trump's executive orders are void because he was wearing a poopy diaper when he signed them."
comment in response to post
Have you considered voting "uncommitted" even *harder* next time?
comment in response to post
Yeah? Are you going to vote "Uncommitted" even harder next time?
comment in response to post
It probably isn't enough, but it accomplishes just as much.
comment in response to post
What if we vote uncommitted even harder next time? Surely that will stop Trump in his tracks!
comment in response to post
Right, but that's where they are right now. If they oppose Trump a hundred people who voted for Trump are going to show up at their house with a gun and kill them and their family. It's already fear.
comment in response to post
I mean he knows, just as all other elected officials know, that Trump supporters will take a gun and shoot them if they oppose Trump, so they don't oppose Trump.
comment in response to post
I wish PF didn't use their fact-checks of trump to find how many "kind of synonyms of 'lie' they can use without pointing out that Trump is in fact just straight up lying. There's no other way to describe the claim that DOGE has eliminated 130 billion of "Fraud" than a complete and total lie.

They will notice your inaction if you never shop from them again. If you *wait 24 hours* to buy the same thing from the same place, nobody at all will ever know or care, because the impact on their bottom line is zero.

Incorrect.

If you're not careful you're going to start understanding how words work.

He's a literal rapist. Not sure we should take him at his word vis-a-vis consent.
comment in response to post
This is not how laws work.
comment in response to post
Yeah that's the thing about the left they really love empty symbolism, and since that's all that Democrats are capable of right now I am also surprised they aren't ratcheting it up.
comment in response to post
At a maximum, they don't have the power to do that.

Fuck that noise.

I've blocked everyone I've ever seen do it. Just do that, it will make your life so much better.
comment in response to post
I block anyone and everyone who shares any Twitter links or content, zero exceptions.

They don't is the thing. The way to avoid this was voting, and as a country we decided we wanted this instead.
comment in response to post
Hard to think of anything less meaningful than anthems played at sporting events or crowd reactions to them.

Chad Foster sounds like a real shitstain.
comment in response to post
It doesn't really matter.
comment in response to post
We should all pledge to vote uncommitted until the situation improves.
comment in response to post
The "Vote Uncommitted" crowd might just end up solving the Palestinian problem after all, we never should have doubted them.
comment in response to post
Must be a bit of a dummo.
comment in response to post
You know, originally I thought the "Vote Uncommitted" people were setting themselves up for disappointment, but Trump might just solve the whole problem after all.
comment in response to post
I guess it's been harder for him to rape them with all the cameras around.

Sure, and then they'll all die rich and comfortable. Funny old world.
comment in response to post
Their children will suffer and their grandchildren will die as a direct result of their inaction, I suppose that's punishment enough without me holding it against them. Another win for the childless!

This is not a real thing that happened. There are "official" accounts (POTUS, VPOTUS, FLOTUS) and anyone who was following those when they switched over to new people was suddenly following the new people. Doesn't make it less annoying but you're giving them too much credit.

Because I don't have any friends and occasionally I can interact with people on here.

I block everyone who posts anything from Twitter that shows up on my feed, no exceptions and I've lost some follows that I used to like over it but I left because I wanted to be gone, not because I wanted to read the same shit somewhere else.

This is how I feel about 100% of Twitter content that gets posted here.
