It's going to be an Alexa AI Personal Assistant type thing. Mystery announcements like this are always a damp squib.

It's all a gamble. Any "investment" can become worthless (e.g. Marconi, UK, 2001). If bitcoin became worthless overnight it wouldn't bother me. My stake is low. My eggs are in many baskets.
comment in response to post
I'd take the Bitcoin. Sell it. Buy a new car and then buy my breakfast, lunch and dinner for the rest of my natural life with the change.
comment in response to post
I'll take the 1 bitcoin. As would every sane person reading this 😁

I know what it means. At some point people determine the intrinsic value based on *their* perception. Here is one of a thousand definitions which accepts "value" is in the eye of the beholder: www.investopedia.com/terms/i/intr...
comment in response to post
Your definition excludes any concept of "perception". Which is a common component of other people's definition of intrinsic value.
comment in response to post
There is still an element of needing a person to give it value. Ham sandwiches have zero value to a vegetarian. You are giving it a value because you like ham sandwiches.

Lock up your daughters. Although they are probably safe. Errol prefers to keep it in the family.
comment in response to post
Errol Musk? Didn't he marry and impregnate his daughter? Why would anyone want to be in the same building as that???
comment in response to post
Nothing in the world has any value other than that placed on it by someone else. Currency has no value unless other people want it. And they only want it because other people want it. If other people want Bitcoin it has value.

The problem is that even if you are present in your kids lives that isn't enough unless you are monitoring their internet use 24/7. Which is impossible. If you have kids then either you have banned them from the internet (and their friends) or they *are* looking at stuff you are unaware of.

Wow. It's like being back in the 1990s.

No one is lying here except you. You little soviets can't even run an aircraft carrier 😂
comment in response to post
NATO is now bigger. So not sure I'm the clueless one here. I get it. You have to support your soviet masters. You're scared. I can criticise my politicians and not get thrown out a window. So I feel sorry for you. One day you might be free of Putin's grip.

He doesn't have a good track record for keeping promises made after twitter polls. Reference: all the other twitter polls.

So you are saying that russia is so dumb it was tricked into invading Ukraine (twice) by the West? I mean russians are famous for being stupid but not sure they are *that* stupid. You obviously disagree with me.
comment in response to post
russia is bombing civilian cities. Ukraine destroys some military assets (as is their right) and the dirty inbred orcs lose their mind.
comment in response to post
1) Yes. Ukrainians fighting Ukrainians wasn't not good. No business of russia's. No justification for an invasion. 2) Ukraine is defending itself. It isn't targetting russian civilians on anywhere the same scale as russia is. You can't commit acts of terrorism against someone invading your country.
comment in response to post
You obviously don't have young kids. These days it is assumed that kids have access to phones and the internet. You either disadvantage them or give in. It's all or nothing. Not much in-between.

This isn't going to work. The tech companies are never going to agree to anything meaningful. Might work for the middle classes. But if you think the teenage gangs on stolen e-bikes are signing up for kiddie accounts you are living in a dream world.

Everyone should watch Threads. I never want to watch it again. But Ukraine giving up its nuclear weapons is why they have russians swarming all over their country murdering people. Do you honestly think Europe giving up theirs would stop russian aggresion??
comment in response to post
Looks like The Guardian has just had its Daily Mail appeasement moment. Blaming the UK for Russian aggression is the most ridiculous thing I've seen this month. What next? Blaming children in gaza for airstrikes? What other war crimes can The Guardian blame on the victims?
comment in response to post
No nuclear weapons has been the back bone of the Scottish Independence movement for decades.
comment in response to post
So you support the murdering of civilians. Are there any civilians you don't like being murdered? Or is it Ukrainians you specifically like killing?
comment in response to post
russia invaded Ukraine. Twice. Because they gave up their nuclear weapons. No other country should be dumb enough to make the same mistake. Also no country should be dumb enough to sell half its capital city to russian gangsters. Or allow its media to support our enemies. DOH!
comment in response to post
So russia murdering more civilians is getting one over on NATO? Getting your ass handed to you is the Ukrainians destroying a third of your bomber fleet while your military was asleep or drunk.

I've had videos taken down by YouTube with *zero* real explanation. Just "you breached a guideline in this 1000 page policy containing 500 guidelines". It's impossible to know what the problem is. Ultimately you have to obey.

Musk at least had access to real engineers and software experts. Farage had access to a bunch of pie munching drunks and a few Russian backed sex pests.

Trump can't drive so mileage will be low. Might need the seats cleaned.

A Ukrainian park where Russisn adults are murdering Ukrainian children.
comment in response to post
They could stop the illegal settlement building and ethnic cleansing. That would help. It all started long before Oct 7th but they have to frame themselves as the victim not the aggressor.
comment in response to post
You can't commit an act of terrorism against an aggressor. When will russia the aggressor realise this?
comment in response to post
His own Federal Election Commission submissions.

That's another drug dealer who will have to walk to the park today!

I'll bet anyone that most of the fires are cheap uninsured bikes that are used illegally.
comment in response to post
Lots of electrical goods are Chinese made. But if you buy random cheap brands it doesn't really matter where you buy them.
comment in response to post
Yep. Some fantastic street art in Florence amongst the beautiful buildings. Naples? Tagged filthy s**t hole.
comment in response to post
Israeli ethnic cleansing and illegal settlement building started before Hamas existed. Any journalists ever going to point that out when these genocide apologists are given airtime?
comment in response to post
So many people won't realise how clever this image is. Bravo sir 👏
comment in response to post
LOL. Another win. Russians chasing their tails. Meanwhile Operation Spiderweb 2 is taking shape while they are looking in the wrong place 👍
comment in response to post
So how do you explain Israeli terrorism before Hamas even existed?
comment in response to post
Not exactly true. The Cambodian Genocide was largely ignored by the world. The response afterwards was basically "opps. never mind. it's not like they were white." People who use the phrase "never again" don't actually mean it.
comment in response to post
She could always, you know, tax the super rich? Something that 99.9% of the population will applaud 👏

No. What will happen is the disease will mutate and either create stronger mosquitos or wipe out other insects. This isn't an ethical question. It's plain common sense.
