Notes definitely taken for the eventual next Con I go to (don't do super long events, go to the shows/live plays, prioritize certain artists' signatures over others).

It's amazing how many people forget how to drive in snow after a large snowfall. Where I'm from, Michigan, usually the first major snowfall causes a couple accidents without fail. And we are used to getting shat on with snow!

I had a fun Simic tempo deck! Had a good boy doggo, The Aetherspark, and Oviya to cheat things into play. Managed to ult the Aetherspark twice to activate a handful of my exhaust abilities, cast some spells, and draw some cards.

I also got the good boy doggo! He valiantly sacrificed himself to destroy an artifact that exiled one of my things until it left. And the Aetherspark is cool too.

Team Saheeli! I've always found energy to be an interesting and powerful mechanic, especially with all of the recent support from Fallout & MH3.

I played azorius spirits tonight! With a green splash for abundant growth and Tamiyo. I did okay overall, but I had fun and I managed to ult Tamiyo so I won in my book.

I was looking at events to sign up for at MagicCon yesterday, and the Aetherdrift Pitstop one had a clause where if you demonstrate an infinite combo, you win 5000 tickets. If your surprise booster is an Innistrad Remastered and are extremely lucky, this'd be possible.

Also the Farm Computer is hella convenient to check on everything. Especially if you've got machines in sheds that aren't ready in a few game hours (like kegs) or crops in the greenhouse that fruit infrequently (like ancient fruit).

- The quarry makes a great open air winery.
- The minecarts save so much time, mines primarily but also the beach until you can get the beach obelisk.
- Getting pigs sooner rather than later for the chef bundle so you can go to Ginger Island.

I agree with you that Standard is doing great, but anecdotally it doesn't feel that diverse. Yes, technically it is diverse, but there isn't much diversity within the color combos. Red is almost always RDW, White is usually tokens, Black is discard/demons, Golgari midrange, Dimir flash/control.

If Toofer said spell OR ability, I would say yes, Wall of Omens would trigger Toofer. Drawing a card is an enters trigger, so when when you cast and resolve Wall of Omens, you haven't drawn a card yet until after its enters trigger resolves.

Highly recommend P5R. There is a dip in the story in the latter part of the main game before the additional content Royal adds, but the game overall is super solid. Combat is great, the overworld social aspect is fun, even grinding for money and levels is fun.
