Definitely sad to see Berkshire be led by someone other than Warren but the arch of transition has been long and Greg Abel seems to be an exceptional choice, already having 25 years at the company living the fundamentals to keep it going.

Kind of my thought. This 'tariff pause' seems to be only on nations that don't have significant market impact. The spike seems to be the Coyote running off the cliff before he realizes he's no longer on solid ground.

I'm reading 'tariff pause' everywhere but see here and there references to only for those who haven't retaliated. Obviously, tariffs seem to be still on for China, but does that mean tariffs still stand on the EU, another main trading partner?

The complete buffoonery to believe that knowledge workers have 1) the skill sets and/or 2) the desire to work these fantasy manufacturing jobs, let alone want to relocate for them, is mind boggling to me.

@mcuban.bsky.social I'm not sure I fully understand your idea but it seems many of the countries on the list import fewer U.S. goods than they export to the U.S. simply because the country they can't afford it. So, this idea wouldn't be viable for every country.

I use the Castbox app to listen to your podcast and wanted to listen to the "How Derivatives Trading Swallowed The Entire Market" episode but it seemed to be overwritten by this one. Hoping that can get fixed.

I understand that. An option could be to run your own company server with remote access and implementation of security tools such as Zscaler. Although it would be difficult to collaborate simultaneously on documents, you can still share and collaborate on a given file.

Only a suggestion. I'd imagine that'd be a significant IT process to move a whole team off a cloud-based system. But, cloud systems, being remote servers, are inherently the property of someone else. I always try and recommend to use localized storage any chance possible.

I'd suggest switching to @libreoffice.bsky.social until at least Microsoft resolves these issues for you.
