I believe my modesty is my only flaw.
Not really aggressive, or a hippy. He/him.

I think there are parallels to the music industry. When I go to gigs it's noticeable most of the audience are around my age (ancient).
I was talking to a band about it, they said it's down to Spotify, if a song doesn't hit within the first few seconds the 'kids' just move on to the next.

There's a lot of people on Insta who are very, very proud of their buttocks.
I mean, they are nice bums, I'm sure if we met socially we'd get on smashingly, but I've kinda reached the gym-arse-selfie Event Horizon.

I think you can. Possibly. On my phone it's the menu at the top right, three horizontal bars (Hamburger Menu for top nerd points), then settings, then moderation.
I've not tried it but there is a mute words option.

Some companies are very convincing (I work for an American company, very "we care about the hearts in our business"). You've no reason to feel silly for trusting them, we all do it I think, until we find out the deeds don't match the words.

I'm really sorry to hear that. The threat of layoffs is such an oppressive, scary time.
Work from home never quite suited me, but I do think it's a great idea, a win for both employer and employee.
Wishing you good luck.

I particularly enjoy posts that are like "I rate the quality of films on how many exploding helicopters they feature.
My girlfriend wants us to watch Citizen Kane. Will I enjoy it?"

I dunno, @nadiawhittomemp.bsky.social, @zarahsultana.bsky.social and yeah, @jeremycorbyn.bsky.social ... there could be a party out there I'd happily vote for.

Been looking forward to Leicester since the tour was announced, such a brilliant live band (and on record, but your gigs are my happy place).

I've only played Yakuza 0, 1 & 2 but the main character you play is actually surprisingly moral in thoughts and actions (he's ex-yakuza mostly). But yes there is a criminal thread through it all. And a lot of casual sexism.
I respect your choice of course though. Plenty of other games out there.

We were watching a Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen program last night (the remote was on the coffee table and I couldn't be arsed to get up, ok?) where he went round unusual houses.
It featured a young couple who had decided the 90s, the decade style forgot, was the ideal vintage vibe, CRT tvs and all.

His dullness annoys me. I mean all that money - OK, we know he won't use it for good - but his evil is banal.
He could cross koalas with sharks to make a cute, vicious evil mutant army, or turn the M25 into a dodgems circuit... but no... the height of his ambition is to be a shit office manager.

Forgive my ignorance as I'm in the UK, but how much is being reported over there?
I ask because I have a normally politically aware (not MAGA) friend in the States and even they were surprised when I mentioned some details about the tariffs and how Colombia didn't "back down".

Yes, feelings of anger and helplessness. I know we should bear witness but I had to step away some. I can't change what's happening in the world, I have no control.
But I do have control on how I treat the people around me. Like how you support your students - you are making a positive difference.

I won't offer any trite motivational guff or presumptuous advice, but I do hope you feel brighter soon.
It feels to me that even though life can be good, there is a chronic feeling of low grade downness (is that a word?) recently that a lot of people, me included, struggle with.

And to round off my day of trying-not-to-sing-along-in-the-office, South of Salem.
This isn't real, this is cinematic
'til the day we cut to static.
We only get one take
'cause in life there's no remakes.
No sequels or prequels,
no secret post-credit scene.

OK, so @deathingloria.bsky.social may have killed off humanity entirely (twice) but it was done with a great soundtrack.
If you are into sci-fi, music that tells a story and comics then this could be the multi-media band for you.

Getting gloves me through the afternoon - this album is so well crafted, just exquisite.
Marisa and the Moths - so personal lyrics yet the feelings are universal.

Always check out the support band, part 21.
Energetic, entertaining, great songs with a message - went home and downloaded the album straight after the gig.
Allies to Trans and everyone who feels or has felt an outsider, Ugly Club were one of my finds of last year.

@wardxvi.bsky.social always give everything, a show as much as a gig.
A musical carnival of eclectic delights, and as I've been lucky enough to find out, they're all lovely people.
Bands saying they care about their fans is a clichรฉ, but I've experienced and witnessed their kindness.

Speaking of honesty, along with amazing, danceable, riff-tastic guitar and groovy rhythm Doomsday Outlaw have unique, self-aware lyrics.

Embarrassingly the same thing happened to me during a session with a Personal Trainer once, it just slipped out my mouth...
Me: "Can I stop now?"
Her: "No".

Great game, almost feels like a 'best kept secret', lost in the shadow of Yakuza/GTA etc
I wouldn't say it's a classic, but all the bones are there to build on and make one. Incredibly satisfying combat, deep but accessible.

I'm a buyer rather than a streamer and try and use Bandcamp whenever possible, especially on Bandcamp Fridays where the artist gets 100% of the money.
I really hope they don't go the same way as Spotify, Amazon etc

I know I'm in a minority because a lot of people had problems with them, but I really liked the old curved screen. The lack of side bezel seemed 'premium' some how.
Same with square corners, I don't find them uncomfortable but I do prefer the look of the flat sided frame on the S25 Ultra to the S24

Ah, thank you! I should've checked before posting... embarrassingly I've never tried the palm detection with my S24 Ultra.
I'm not a luddite (for one thing there are no burnable Mills within easy penny farthing distance of me) but I don't wear a watch, smart or otherwise.

Guess I'm one of the very few then, because I used the S Pen as a camera remote (but never used gesture controls).
A way round it would be to have the 'show palm to take photo' function from the Flip, I thought that was excellent.
