The questions being asked to our comrades were not why we need to overthrow capitalism but how and what do we replace it with. This is what we are aiming to answer in all our discussions. We will continue this by discussing the need for a revolutionary philosophy in the coming weeks.

class struggle in the country as well as its impacts on the Middle East. Everywhere, people have keen to discuss these questions, wanting to gain a deeper understanding of the world. Those attending are all in agreement that capitalism isn't working.

We have had comrades from branches around London, Canterbury, Brighton, Southampton, Surrey, Sheffield, Leeds, Bradford, York, Hull, Lincoln, Newcastle, Sunderland, Tyneside and Durham all take part in these educational schools.

We have had discussions on many different aspects of Marxist theory, such as the scientific philosophy of Marxism, the permanent revolution, Bonapartism, the collapse of the USSR, can capitalism get out of crisis, art and revolution and the rise of capitalism.

But let’s be clear: neither Reform, Labour, nor the Tories represent the interests of workers. The blame for the horrors we face lies not with any single party but with the entire capitalist system.

Here in Britain, the new year begins with economic stagnation and Labour’s failed attempt at a ‘reset.’ Meanwhile, Reform’s divisive populist rhetoric is gaining traction, feeding on the absence of any genuine left-wing alternative.

I met some comrades from the Canadian section at a 2023 Labor Day march, and I knew immediately that I was dealing with some serious folks; they welcomed me to march with them, they had the latest copies of their paper on-hand to sell, and they took my contact information on the spot!
