If the FMCS is shut down, and the agency was created under the Taft-Hartley Act, then shouldn’t Taft-Hartley be repealed? Along with it goes “right to work” and ULPs against unions, keep in mind. #FMCS #union

Hearing the Trump admin is currently gutting the FMCS, laying off mediators and shutting down services. The FMCS was created as a means to thwart strikes. Unions should respond accordingly. #strike

Unions need to start submitting bargaining demands right away to employers—regardless of contract status—to remove “no strike” clauses from their agreements. The labor movement needs to remind employers that the NLRB and the Act enforce labor peace. Give them a preview of what’s to come.
