If every federal worker took just five minutes to reply to this stupid email, that would equate to roughly 200,000 hours of completely wasted taxpayer-funded labor.

Biden explicitly positioned himself as a bridge to a new generation of Democratic leadership and then… wasn’t… that… at all.

Never forget that he’s the guy who turned down a very specific proposal to end world hunger *that he himself had asked for*

What’s clear is that only a very few elected Dems - and none in the official leadership group - view themselves as *movement leaders* in this moment and not just mere legislators. AOC, Murphy, Schatz… that’s probably it.

“Saved” is also a bit of a fallacy. It presumes that none of the things that were cut had value. You can cut household costs by not going out to movies or by not paying for gas. But the difference matters.

Respectfully, sir, you’re a United States Senator visiting a federal office building during work hours. Bring your Counsel, and don’t take “No” for an answer.

It’s any administration’s prerogative to fund programs that align with its priorities and defund those that don’t. Firing 10,000 people and blowing-up a government Agency that literally saves lives because someone approved a $30K grant you don’t like seems a tad extreme.

That database was published. Until Saturday. When Musk took it down and put it “through the wood chipper.” Weird, huh?

Among other things, this kind of rhetoric is going to get someone killed.

I think we’re rapidly finding out that allies of the president are no longer bound by the Rule of Law…

You need to go and get some real answers. Who are these “representatives of Elon Musk?” What are their names? Are they government officials? Do they have security clearances? What was their need-to-know?

Senator, I think you’re doing a great job, but you need to go stand in front of the Treasury building with some lawyers and a camera crew, and start demanding real answers.
