But high-speed police chases are only part of the toxic pattern on Atlanta streets, which enable too many drivers to drive at high speeds. A recent AJC article by Michael Scatturo points this out: www.ajc.com/news/health-...

I hear that.

This is, in the parlance of the media biz, a "get." Go on, Spencer! (Very glad I live in an "alt Atlanta" where the bike community is my community and I rarely have to drive. I also swore off the Barves in 2016. Hope Atlanta gets a baseball team again one day.)

Super easy for a pedestrian to key.

100%. And there should not be any breakaway bolts in areas (like this one) where pedestrians are expected to be present. If a streetlight, signal, or sign is between me and your speeding car, I'd like your car to be damaged and stopped, rather than your car to be less damaged at my expense.

I work in safe-streets advocacy and I agree. I was just saying that the driver wasn't deliberately taking aim at the RRFB, similar to the Toronto speed cameras. Imho I don't think there should be breakaway bolts on any of the fixtures around this intersection. Especially not on the sidewalks.

My girlfriend saw it happen... annnnnd we're pretty sure it was not intentional.

Last night, a driver sheared it off then carried it on the roof of the car about a half-mile and three streets away. #carsruincities #bancars

I have been petitioning my brother at T4A to just do a low-key monthly pod with Beth talking off-the-cuff about current events. I'd 100% subscribe and listen.

I will (now sheepishly) admit that I voted for Republicans all the way up to 2012, but Trump and MAGA broke me. I consider myself basically a center-lefty now.

I appreciate you and everything the WIRED team are doing right now, so much. Adding a subscription was a really easy decision.

Welp, I was proud of her for just a day. It was a great day. But it's over.

Completely on-point for an utterly lawless regime.
