I love Elliott Smith. I've not listened for ages. It always feels a bit too sad.

Just checked another couple. Empty. I wouldn't mind if it was just refilling but they'll need a flush and clean etc. Never known them completely empty. Might just stick to fineliners.

Oh sorry, I should have checked.

Genuinely kicking myself at this. The number of time I slowly read it to myself completely focused on the wrong bit... "glass of energy, glass of NRG? N... R... G..., N... R... G..."

A lot of it unfortunately seems to be ditch or really limited social media and scrolling.

Same here on trying to fix it. Been reading loads about it to try and help myself get back to how concentration used to feel.

Same here. I used to play a lot but the last couple of years I just can't be bothered to pick it up again. I'd sunck literally mulitple thousands of hours into just two or three games. Now nothing. I do think there might be more to it, some collective affect on our attention or focus.

Definitely testing the water before attempting tochange the lot. I'm pleased people didn't fall for it.

I just assumed that's what it was. Wondered if other people had. The book was just like, it's funny because the chicken doesn't even know it's in a joke and is just crossing the road?

Is there a BOGOF offer on them?

But seriously, I'm pleased they got the cash and won. I'm disappointed by the final banishment as I wanted them to win.

We are, but there are always tipping points. There are more distractions now than ever and getting that group action for sustained periods is hard but there's always a tipping point.
Until then they'll continue to take the piss.

There are so many things now that I just don't buy. There were things that were just common buys, that became a bit more expensive, then couldn't see the value, and eventually just became laughably priced and I wouldn't not give them the money.

I feel like there needs to be targeted buying. Using butter as an example, everyone agrees not to buy a particular brand. Or not use a particular supermarket for a month. Don't go without but focus the problem on one chain till they address it. Others would be concerned.

I often think about this, it feels like there was a tipping point, like mid 90s? Before that they were trying to make things better to convince us to buy things but after that it became how much worse can we get away with before people stop buying.

I think you might be right. I worry here will go the way of twitter at an accelerated rate.

I'd gone a month without even posting recently not trying. Been trying to work out why I'm still on there. The good is drowned out by the bad. I suspect it's the realisation that while there you are still part of it. You leave and genuinely no one notices. I suspect it's not wanting to accept that.

Same with twitter. It was always a great brain dump, I wouldn't go as far as to claim it was helpful like journalling etc. but it did a job. Now without trying I've realised I certainly don't try to think of things to say there or head straight there with thoughts.
