This is how we move forward; this is how we build a better life even while the world burns. Look to those you love & plant gardens in the desert. Then water it, nurture it, & it will sustain you even in the darkest of times.

It’s okay to be angry, but don’t let hate become all that you are. We find strength in those around us. So stand by those who matter, bring love to those around you, & continue to build a community upon which you can rely.

I feel our nation has become more attuned to a relative who’s an abusive drunk or addict. If you’ve ever dealt with such a person, then you know there’s no helping them until they themselves are ready to change. All you can do is wait, watch, & then be present when they finally seek true help.
