At the risk of asking a dumb question, doesn't CJCS require Senate approval? Seems like, at minimum, somebody should pull a Tuberville here and have LTG Caine go through a full hearing process to explain why he deserves a statutory waiver compared to the actual eligible pool of CJCS candidates.

So Elon's promise of sending everyone a check for 20% of DOGE (God I hate typing that stupid acronym) savings works out to $1.21 each, and even that is probably overstated if/when the termination for convience clauses are paid out. And of course the cost of all the lawsuits.
