Magneto is more of a hero most of the time though. If DC ever does a straight up reboot, I kind of wish they would just make Harley and Ivy heroes day one, or at least much more morally, no killing. I want to see Harley removed from Joker origins altogether. Now I know that isn’t popular opinion.

I’m off of Gaiman, though I have a problem with how some of the Image guys treated other creators versus the creator rights image they created when forming Image, that & their lack of consistent work ethic. I am more upset about Alan Moore creations being sold to DC by Jim Lee, why wasn’t he owner?

They do this with some Ghibli films. I remember reading adaptation comics of films as a kid, especially Disney which featured great art. The Marvel special for Rock & Rule was disappointing when I came across it, not only was it just screengrabs, or still shots & they were bad quality images.

Also, if you never saw it, Baby Huey’s Easter Adventure features Maureen McCormick, David Leisure, and Harvey Korman, & Joseph Bologna with Stephen Furst as the voice of Baby Huey. The characters of little Audrey and Lotta have small roles in it, just some kids on a baseball team. Also appear in it.

The only animated to live action film I take some issue with during that era that I saw is Baby Huey’s Easter Adventure. The rest are generally good fun landing just about the way they were intended to. I loved the Casper films, Looney Tunes Back in Action, Dudley Do-Right, etc…

Also, I am sorry for distracting from your point which is valid, I am neurodivergent and sometimes feel the need to point things out conversationally but do not mean to offend when doing so. I have seen some old films adapted to comics too in the Golden Age, those have a historical novelty.

I am not a fan of them, though most notably in modern comics is a series of John Byrne penned Star Trek comics. I work at a library & there are some anime and Disney comics that are just screen grabs from animated films. Disney did some photo comics from Descendants.

Thanks for sharing this, I only ever read posts from people who passionately hate the Rocky & Bullwinkle movie, which I loved. So much of the Internet teaches to hate. Of course, they are using their love of this film as analogy for how bad another is, but that is understandable here.

They aren’t identifying themselves and people could easily imposter them. Their actions are unjust, but even if they were just their tactics are wrong and are a danger to everybody.

Oh, guess I am the odd girl out? I also have a lot of toys, dolls, posters, dvds, books, comics, lps, cds, ceramic figurines, plushes. We all have our interests and styles. I think there is some crossover with geek culture among some trans people. I am also autistic.

They just microwave stuff. The last time I rode a train, I saw in the back they were just heating prepackaged food. I was sat with a bunch of aging republicans wanting to bring back the draft. I had to vomit. There is a romance to train rides, I wish good food was still involved.

I wish my parents had allowed me to do what I wanted instead of throwing me through a mirror. I don’t believe I ever crossed back from that mirror. Kids need to be listened to & supported. They know from the start even if they don’t have the words. When they get the words & speak up, listen & help.

I think you thought my post was adversarial. I am neurodivergent. My parents ways were right wing, conservative, they gave money to televangelists. I reject their ideas. 1 of them voted for David Duke. It can be a catalyst for embracing a cause, but other factors like empathy and need are as well.

My parents are dead. What were you saying? These were the first two sentences that formed in my head when reading your message. My views are because I don’t want people to hurt, I want people to be treated like I want to be treated. I want people free, fed, safe from the elements, & to enjoy life.
