It's called aseprite. It'as a pixel art software and it's pretty easy to use, but paid. If you wanna try pixel art first and experiment a little, you have free apps or sites like Piskel or Pixilart :)

I love the whole style of the game!

Ouh. I was expecting some level of uninspired corpo speak on the AAA ones but not that intense. Big "synergy" energy there.

It's not announced or up on steam yet, so not sure it qualifies, but I can't resist a fun contest : So what if Undertale and an action roguelike had a weird baby?

Now thats some intense file but looking at the crazy quality of your animations Im not even surprised!

Clearly something is deeply wrong in this industry

Damn that looks good!

True, it takes time to push pixels. Plus with an hd look, I guess its easier to iterate on animations or scaling effects and such. Scaling or rotating anything in pixel art is a pain xD

Yeah same. I wish Breaker a lot of success, but I'm sad I wont see another pixel game with such a striking style and direction.

I get the idea when you take full advantage of the third dimension, like in Risk of Rain 2 or Hyper Light Breaker. But to make it 3d and keep it a top down action roguelike? Is 3d easier when it comes to produce assets? More versatile? Is it a marketing choice?

Thank you! I like that whole style : Hyper Ligth Drifter, Unsighted and others. That's the kind of games that sold me on pixel art tbh ^^
