Under fascism, no one is safe. Universities stayed quiet as the admin targeted DEI & foreign aid, censored research, etc. Now, they face devastating cuts to indirect cost rates, threatening research & operations. Silence won’t protect institutions. It won’t protect people; it never does.

Today in Cincinnati, Police shut down a highway overpass and held a line on each side to allow Hate Club to wave swastika flags and nazi banners unchallenged. They then protected them as they loaded back into their box truck, while physically pushing back a crowd of people trying to confront them.

My earliest childhood memory about race was my mom and aunts calling out my grandmother for calling her coworker a "colored girl". My grandma was speaking warmly about her friend at work but they still gave her some feedback. I feel very lucky I wasn't raised by racists.
