Phang: We don’t need the Ten Commandments hanging in Texas schools. What we need is common-sense gun legislation—so the kids can live. If my kid goes to a public school in Texas and they can’t come home alive, I don’t give a shit about the Ten Commandments being posted on the wall.

All-time high IS NOT the same as enough. It’s like saying that because minimum wage is at an All-time high everyone earning that is doing fine. My kid’s school district is laying off a hundred+ teachers to make up for the lack of funding in a city that is growing faster than most. MISLEADING.

The actions of those in power here in the USA have been horrific. Around the world thousands will suffer and die due to the halting of USAID funds alone. However, perhaps the right people can use this new dark age to reimagine the future of humankind. A future that looks more like Star Trek.

I think perhaps we (all humans everywhere) should celebrate Alexei Navalny day on the anniversary of his death. This is a man that repeatedly risked and finally gave his life, in the face of almost certain defeat, to improve the lives of others. A symbol of defiance against tyranny the world over.
