Similarly, Oedipal Complex from Freud came from him not wanting to piss off his rich clients by telling them "you've traumatized your children with these unhealthy behaviors and now they have issues" because then they'd stop paying them.

If I remember correctly, Samurai Pizza Cats is an American rewrite of anime also. Not sure, but I do believe they got the rights, altered some cells and wrote new scripts for the animation.

There are several movies titled "'til there was you" but I'm thinking of the RomCom from 1997 that featured the twist that the two leads never meet until near the very end of the movie.
The movie showcases the toxicity of RomCom tropes as the leads mature past them before they meet as better people
