In the UK we have a tv show called 'Cash in the Attic'. Stick them up there for a while and wait till they turn into 'Collectables'. Sorted!

It comes from private schools who coined the term to distinguish it from 'rugger'. Soccer is not a word you will hear in this country. However I do think we should reclaim 'Fall' instead of Autumn but I'm not cross about it.

There was a national competition poll to name a new Arctic exploration ship and the winner was Boaty McBoatface. In the end they bottled it and named it after David Attenborough. To be fair, one of the support boats was given the boaty moniker. #politebritishcompromise

I spent part of the Summer with a bunch of American graduate students of archaeology. Several did not want to watch it because they found the scenario plausible and upsetting. Having said that, the ending is really dumb.

I agree. Very disappointing to witness a parade of reheated policies that didn't work well first time and are promised in ridiculously short timescales. How long before they embark on organisational reforms to make it appear like something is happening 😥
