Quite. I wonder how many on BlueSky are here precisely because of this. I still feel the need to fight the good fight but the shouting and abuse is just too much to bear sometimes. Maybe we just have to be patient and allow time to be the educator, and hope it happens before everything turns to đź’©

And while we’re at it, we should establish the Euro as the global reserve currency thereby weakening the USA’s economic strength.

In the highly unlikely event that we had reached a cup final under Ashley , we just know that this is exactly what he would have done….. but not to jinx it. He would have probably wanted a double with odds of Bruno being sent off.

Phew! Thats more like it. All of this we’re on the verge of greatness optimism was really unlike us. Much more comfy with glass half empty🤣

For those of us who are refugees from NUFC Twitter, the use of the “like I said” is a reminder of a certain ITK….

Might be dead by then but he is already trying to make the most of the next four years. Real Estate plan for Gaza, minerals deal in Ukraine… not America first, it’s Trump family first.

His song? “alleluia, John Tudor, John Tudor”. Underrated forward. RIP John.

Timely I think to mention that I was at the 74 final. Waited a long time for revenge. Cheers Argyle🤣

That shot before Wilson scored was pure Isak. Stopping Willock’s effort on the goal line though was pure Emmanuel Rivière🤣

Reckon Saliba would take a paycut if it meant he didn’t have to play against Isak ever again

To be fair they also thought Wilson could do a job for Arsenal. Swap deal for Saka Rice?

Share your pain. Worried about an early goal for them and the wave of worry coming down from the stands. Been there before. Front foot everyone!

Sticks in my memory because I didn’t tell my Mum I was going to the match but bumped into my cousin on the way there. The big mouth told Mum. Dog house awaited me🤣

I was 14 I think so that makes it 1977. Dicky Dinnis era so relegation and the Leazes being demolished at the end of the season. Haven’t checked to see if my memory is playing tricks but if I’m right, one of many dark seasons….

My first time in the Leazes end was watching Blyth playing Wrexham in the Cup replay. My memory says there were 42,000 there midweek. Different times….

What if a convicted felon with a history of misogyny, poor business decisions and a difficult relationship with the truth became President of the USA? Regardless of whether that’s a realistic option - which I do not - should we not have the courage to ask these questions?
Have I missed the point?

Just want to say how refreshing this whole thread is. In the other place it would have reduced to abuse in seconds. Not everyone agrees with all that’s said but opinions are accepted and positions sensibly argued 👏👏👏👏everyone

If they give away part of the farm but rely on the income from it, then HMRC can say that the gift is not effective. So they might own ÂŁ1m of farmland but are taxed on that + the part they have given away.

Whilst I don’t agree with the farmers on their complaint, their worry is that they can’t avoid the IHT by transferring the farm during lifetime AND at the same time be sure of income in retirement. They don’t have pensions and rely on farming income. Many non-farmers are in worse positions though!
