The double-deck Fort Pitt Bridge carries Interstate 376 / US Routes 22/30/19 across the Monongahela River when it emerges from the Fort Pitt Tunnel to present drivers an amazing vista of downtown Pittsburgh - notably featured in the film "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" (2012). Shot May 2024.
And - bizarrely! - the Viaduc de Millau and the bridge in Mostar seem to be in many people’s galleries 😀 Either that or my followers know what I’ll appreciate.
(I was born in Newport that has one - hence my particular connection to them. And if you’re ever in Rendsburg in northern Germany visit that one - it’s amazing)
I saw the Newport transporter bridge from a distance when I visited an RSPB site nearby a couple of years ago. The Red Arrows flew down the river toward town and it was like they wanted me to see it to remind me of home. My photo is of the Tees Transporter taken from … an RSPB site!

Goodness me, it is breathtaking.
Waited to see the train pulling logs arrive. Ran down to see it cross!
But no one has posted the Viaduc du Garabit yet!
