Meanwhile, in Texas, at a courthouse, they zip-tied 3 children, 9 to 12 years old, after a hearing for relatives.

Just because "they removed it" should be the first clue that you make your own decision, use research, consult your physician etc.

I put this on my Facebook yesterday 3 Republicans responded positively!! "I never requested a tax cut, and I’m astonished that people would vote to jeopardize their healthcare for my benefit. They need their healthcare! Additionally, anyone earning more than I do doesn’t need a tax cut either!"

Gotcha!! I'm just sensitive to disabled children, we have 2 in our family.

My brother called because my nephew passed away 18 months ago at 42. He and my sister-in-law were granted temporary custody of my nephew's disabled child. She receives survivor benefits. (The mother has a green card but has also been to prison and is on probation, she truly needs to be deported.)

To whom are you referring to as "Them"?

My sister called to apply since WEP was canceled January 2025 (she had applied 7 years ago for survivors benefits and was denied any payment due to her retirement from a utility company)

My husband also called because of conflicting letters on how to pay his Medicare premiums since his checks for the first 3 months were being withheld.

My husband called because of conflicting letters about when his social security check starts (he is still self-employed and they withhold checks for the first 3 months out of the year)

Most of us don't make enough to worry about any penalties.
comment in response to post
I'm sure she will look at you funny, but if you always get a refund, don't let the government "borrow" your money for the whole year. Have her/him make sure you barely pay enough so their aren't any penalties.

You can claim as many allowances as you want to, this leads to the least amount taken out of your checks. The person who helped you should know what your tax rate was for last year. This will help determine your filing status and the number of allowances you take.
comment in response to post
Do you do your taxes or does someone else? For example, if you use turbo tax, they give you a tax rate % that you paid. You can start with that. If anyone else does your taxes, they should be able to give you a tax rate.

2. If you are employed, get yourself an interest-bearing account. On your W-4 fill it out to pay the very least amount. Take your personal tax rate and every paycheck, put that amount in the interest-bearing account, and pay on April 15th. I

I keep saying this 1. If you are self-employed, don't pay taxes till April 15th, federal, state, and Medicare taxes. (Quarterly penalty is minimal and usually is no more than the interest you earn in an interest-bearing account.) We do this every year.

EVEN when something arises that concerns them and they want your help, the post starts off with, "This is not political because access to a great library system should not be based upon someone’s leaning. Please email your federal and state level representatives let them know where you stand"
