The cognitive decline in folks who've had multiple COVID infections is deeply concerning & I'm not sure what quality of life we are all supposed to have- with how often folks get infected. I know people who've had 3 infections & are showing signs of dementia. How does one plan a life in all of this?

I came here from the disability community on Twitter (now X). That community, especially including @tinu.bsky.social, was instrumental in giving me comfort & support when I was first diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Over the years I've also come to accept that - for me - bipolar disorder is disabling.

Homeschooling my kid through the pandemic made realize why people spend their lives studying how to teach. And it also made have a deep reverence for teachers. I barely made it a year homeschooling and my kids and I tip my hat to teachers who do this for a living.
