They do not, and I think this is a useful remind of how provincial in attitude and education many Americans are. See this as a teaching opportunity instead of a moral panic.

Yes! They see things that are visually impressive they never knew existed in China, and it's coupled with a class of amenities (strong public spaces, visual pride in a city) that the US generally lacks - of course there's going to be some star-struck people.

Think about it in terms of American propaganda. What might some of these individuals visualize in their head when you say "China"? A lot of this is simply a reaction to some of our own blinders falling away. China is visually stunning! And this is a visual app.

No - centi is one-hundredth in the SI system. "Hecto" is 100 of something. For example, look up the common unit "hectopascals"
