If you’re an adoptee, you may have a big pile of papers somewhere. Or your a-parents may. Go through them and look for a “Certificate of Citizenship”. Maybe 9”x12”, heavy paper, at least for ones issued in the last 15 years. Or if you have a passport, then you’re a US citizen.

Leah and I released the new Indivisible doc, "A Practical Guide to Democracy on the Brink," after spending the post-election weekend in a cabin feverishly writing, editing, and rewriting. TNR describes it here as "refreshingly blunt." I think it holds up pretty well 5-ish months later.

The day started with cat 💩 in my slipper, continued with husband & son dealing with pneumonia, and now husband & daughter are stranded on the way to school in bad weather w/a flat he can't change b/c the dealership didn't include the right lug wrench. And there are no tow trucks. Enough already.
