My dad didn't care for Mr. Rodgers. I think I know why, but that doesn't mean I agree. www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFzX...

Proof this guy is full of SITH.

This tariff fiasco is crazy on so many levels. So @hankgreen.bsky.social decided to rank them. As much as there is to laugh at, stay till the end, because he does a good job breaking down why this is so serious. youtu.be/8JuuGjRhSYE?...

Do people know about Darlingside? www.youtube.com/watch?v=kg_E...

Word of the day is ‘huff-snuff’ (16th century): a hectoring bully or braggart.

An opinion without 3.1415926 is just an onion. Just sayin'!

Yep, sounds about right! youtube.com/shorts/hZReP...

Hmmmm, it would be ego centric to assume she's picking words because of anything in the USA, right? Right?! RIGHT?!?!?!

I run a teams thread at work called "SQL Songs" as SQL is my creative jam and I love helping people. I had occasion today to remember that songs were used as a mnemonic device for bards and skalds in the old days, and I couldn't be more tickled!

So, I think I get the difference between PA and NY snow now. . .

Thanks @clankorval.bsky.social for the Linzi Day mention, now I'm hooked on her _Midlife in Gretna Green_ series so much I'm late for work!

Even small things can make a big difference right now. I thought I wasn't going to donate, as funds are tight right now, but I did go ahead with a small amount, because we can all make a difference. www.caninerescue.club/donate The Palisades fire canine relief fund is the target!

What's up with the nubile young women and my profile? Sorry, I'm in it for the personality ;) Give me a reason or I get to try out the block hammer. (BTW, the reason should be interesting!)

Whelp, a good Christmas movie can still make me cry. . . and by good, I mean, one that doesn't induce a nap. About 30 of them this year. . . so far!

My theme for this Christmas -- "Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. ~Desiderata, Max Ehrmann 1927" Be at peace, as much as you can. We'll kick butt next year!

I should post whenever I finish a book! Good plan, should finish the current one tonight!

I continue to experiment with neuroplasticity -- latest couple days included picking thinks up with the wrong hand and mirroring exercises (do something on one side, then duplicate on the other.) More finicky than tricky, but maybe that is what is needed? I think more big movements tomorrow!

Today's NP experiment. Stand with arms outstretched to the side and see how far I can raise each leg to the side. Variants included, one arm at a time, pointing forward or sideways. Left was easier than right some how. . .

I've been thinking a lot about Neuroplasticity and how when a peer of mine started trying to regain motor control post stroke, verbal was easier than gross muscle movements. Maybe I need to do more physically diverse activities? Let's see what I can figure out. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neuropl...

Well, I canceled the trip to see family friends. I'll miss being at the party, but the 10 hours of driving in this weather just felt overwhelming. I know guilt is a silly reaction, but here we are. I'll try to find some extra positive self care activity to help with it this weekend.

Ok! Another November under our belts! www.yourdailypoem.com/listpoem.jsp...
