Not favourites, per se, but entertaining in the context of how great the artists who sing them... The World is a Great Big Onion (Marvin Gaye) The Laughing Gnome (David Bowie)

Here's the thing... I was lucky that there was a grammar school in my area. All 120 of us (from wildly varied economic backgrounds) in each year went to uni (myself at the turn of the millennium). I count amongst friends, high flyers in finance, academics, entertainment, even clergy. Real mobiliy

It doesn't feel like a U-turn to me. The policy remains, but it should get an adjustment this year. Just sensible, like any budgetary tweaks which get made regularly

Emily Maitlis Vs Lowe was the most encouraging thing I have seen politically in ages. That's what the truth will take to reach. I'm VERY disappointed with the Labour approach to Reform, but I can see how they feel cornered by a partial media, who are either ideological, or salivating after 'likes'

One possible "positive" from all this? Perhaps this further fragments the votes of the easily misled and misguided. Of course, I would favour a more progressive, education based, critical thinking solution, but I fear the currents of misinformation in the pursuit of 'easy' money flow too strong

I'd love to see James and Nick do a Christmas charity debate.
