I don’t know what to put here. In short: Dad. Clemson alum. Canes (NHL) fan. Nintendo supporter. Semi-lapsed wrestling mark. Patiently working my way towards retirement.

Revenge and The New Tetris with Perfect Dark a close third got so much love from us in the dorms.

Royal Rumble and Raw for SNES were regular rentals for us. Loved those. War Zone though? I spent $80 for it on N64 and oof. That was a miss. Still played the shit out of it though.

They were great pick up and play games. The first one in the series didn’t have a ton of licensed wrestlers but it didn’t matter - it was a great 4 player game still

Probably 6 one way… We’ve had this B&D drill since we’ve owned our house (8 yrs) and I like it more than my Ryobi one. It uses a standard USB to charge and we’ve charged it maybe three times? Lightweight but super dependable.

No Mercy gets all the shine, but Revenge is still more fun

7. Mario Kart World I feel like I should have more to say about the Switch 2’s killer app, but I only spent 10 hrs with it before rolling credits. That aside, it does all the standard Mario Kart things well. Free Roam is a neat addition that I see myself nibbling on for the next 5 yrs. Recommend.

That’s impressive 😅

Not really. I aim for gold on all 150cc cups. Then over the life of the game, I’ll worry about 3-staring them.

It’s so much better than the original’s kickstand.

So smooth. I almost fell into a full replay of Three Hopes just because I was enjoying the performance boost.

Dude left a wife and family behind just because he thought he was smarter than the doctors.

I haven’t bothered to boot up the cart to see what the deal is. There’s a few other games in the same boat (Among Us I think?)

It’s on the Switch eShop - but for some reason you can’t t buy it on Switch 2. Apparently there’s some compatibility issues.

So it went $12.99 > $15.99 > $19.99, which is where we were. And that was fine among most collectors. Then they jumped to $29.99 because of Trump’s stupid tariffs. That’s when I bailed. I’ve got a ton. Entire Smash set and a whole bunch of the others.

Yeah, I joined the party late

Ohhh, that’s bad news (for my Amazon credit card). bsky.app/profile/wari...

Shit. Hopefully they crank up the assembly line there.

I say that in seriousness as Famitsu had Switch 2 selling 948k in a week there. Compare that to 1.1M here - factoring in our population differences I figured y’all were drowning in them.

Wait. They’re not in ample supply over there?

I’ve actually started watching the newscast just to marvel at all the added frames of animation for Shiver and Fyre.

We try to make everyone feel at home. If we invited you over, we want you to have a good time. Also made me feel good to see that we’ve carved out a nice little village of likeminded folk.

59 kids across 3 classes. Some kids were racking up 4 awards. A considerable number went home w/o any and I’m just like “dang, it’s a cold world.” (My kid got 2, so 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾, but I’ve got a soft spot for the kids who didn’t quite get there.)

I’d request to be elevated to a supervisor. (Not to make assumptions, but preferably someone stateside. Any issues I’ve had like that have resulted from an offshore employee following instructions to a T without any space for nuance - which I don’t fault them for.)

OK, now they’re being dicks. Because so many Switches were sold online. I don’t have a physical receipt either.

I don’t think that’s an unfair ask on their part. Annoying, but reasonable. Now if they pitch a fit about it after the fact, then that’s out of control.

That’s lame. Usually their customer service is on point. Hopefully they get you right. I mean - it’s not like they’re hurting for cash right now.

Too many blue shells?

I asked OP before my post for that same reason. Circana is tracking anything that comes in a box that can be sold on a shelf as retail. I like that but I also completely understand why publishers would count them as digital sales.

Game key cards. I would have picked up SF6 if it wasn’t a key card.

Lovely. Excited to see the Top 10 Nintendo list(s?) in a few weeks.

Question - how is Circana tracking game key cards? Asking as I saw where Capcom plans to count them as digital sales.

This is embarrassing for you and I know that you know that. Do better.

My bad - I’m (mistakenly) responding to the current success of the PS5 vs my initial kneejerk of how bad the operating income was during the PS3 years.

In the 8 years I’ve owned a Switch, I’ve never once considered playing with the joycons attached while the system was docked.

They go surprisingly quick. All the main games take about 55 hrs and none of them (aside from a couple moments in 2) felt like a chore.

Fire Emblem Echoes and the 2 Xenoblades (all the Xenos honestly) are so good.

Salt yes - I’ve never heard of anyone using pepper though.
