This might be the single most niche sentiment I have ever put to cyberpaper but you know what I am obligated to deliver the truth. Cassandra of the eastern seaboardt

My girlfriend asked if I could draw it from memory so I did on the back of a takeout receipt and her immediate first response was "it's got the bamboo shrimp hand things!"
it should be clear to you why I love her

Anyway I do really love the banjo that was one of my best decisions of 2024, getting a banjo

Maybe I should write more songs.

I'd love to talk with more people about music and make more music with more people, but my time away from being in literal music school has made me feel like my impostor syndrome around people who were "properly devoted" to the craft is both permanent and justified (which I do *know* is nonsense)

Cliches about college life aside I do miss that spontaneity and level of participation. There was a particular kind of zeal and excitement for musical stuff that I'd really like to experience again, if I can.

Even aside from all of the music that I made in college (and I made quite a bit!) I was going to concerts weekly, I was regularly rehearsing myself, the friends I talked most with were all musicians (and we talked *about* music), folk jams would occasionally just happen in the building I lived in...

But in Junior high, I was making and releasing my own music regularly on the internet, in high school a full 3/7 of my classes were music-related some semesters, and then in college I... well I went to music school

Very bizarre experience though having him mention places local to where I grew up in tangential anecdotes however. Freaking Hoosiers, man...

Actually, that's an interesting point... I tend to associate the experience of watching someone dance very heavily with their fashion as well (another thing I think a parallel-universe Tori would have fun with)
Anyway, no big insights here, just wanted to share some stuff I enjoyed!

youtu.be/_1gbF6_7NBw?... and this one, from the same channel. Makes me think I should get a black turtleneck—I basically have the rest of the outfit already, and I love what she does with it

youtu.be/N6WiOqy8To4?... this one too—I particularly love the dancer with her shirt tucked in, though all of them do a good job on one of my favorite choreos I've been exposed to thus far. Love some of the footwork in this one

youtu.be/L5JCGHjM39w?... Here's one that I found recently while doing some research for work—I love the personality that goes into the performances and wardrobes of the three dancers, that kind of stuff is so cool to me.
Also, as a general rule, part of why I tend to enjoy small groups of dancers

It's been a bit since I've rotated two characters in my head more than Quark and Odo like... there is something worth studying in what you two mean to each other
