It's neat how you disparage other people's interests because they're different from yours.

What? Where do people act like that?

Take a look at the video I posted in reply to the other user. It's not the same.

I thought the subject of the sentence was "this", the veb was "sounds like", and the object was "a threat to Mr Musk...". Within that object, though, is a clause which has its own subject, verb, and object that map as you described them, and in that clause, "whom" seems correct.

Why shouldn't he? His previous attitudes may have hurt them as well.

I hear you, and I'm not saying the guy is a saint, or even that I admire him at all, but there are a lot of other, more stupid and less helpful ways he could be making money. At least this guy is helping some folks. Should he spend more of the money he gets this way helping people? Absolutely.

I've never heard of the guy. Is he not actually helping people? I don't particularly care if he makes money off of helping people, as long as people are actually being helped.

For it to be a grift, someone would need to benefit at someone's expense. Who is benefiting and who is being ripped off?

"No one didn't not ask" is a triple negative, and thus, still a negative. Not sure how that helps your point. Like, at all.

We've got that type of thing going on here, too. Crows, squirrels, jays, sparrows, juntos, etc.. The crows don't come too close to the windows, but the squirrels come right up to the sill. I swear they've tried to come in the door a few times as well.

Yeah, I don't have high hopes for this game, or this season, really. Which I guess is maybe a good thing?

You misspelled "The Eagles" and, well, any Eagles song.

It's from ππ¦π·π¦π³π’π―π€π¦. You could search "outie severance", but if you ever think you might watch it, I recommend against it, as it's revealed in the first episode and the reveal is,rather fun to watch.

I found myself agreeing with something else Kristol wrote last week. 20-years-ago-me would have never believed it.

or even anything derivative of that. Swedes call the Baltic Sea πΜπ΄π΅π¦π³π΄π«π°Μπ― ("The Eastern Sea"), and nobody cares. Of course, I'll continue to call the Gulf of Mexico by that name, because changing it is stupid.

I think the whole "Gulf of America" thing is ridiculous (because, duh, it is), but countries have had names for things that aren't the same as others' names for those same things forever. Germans call their homeland ππ¦πΆπ΅π΄π€π©ππ’π―π₯, for instance, while most other countries don't call it that...1/2

As an Oregonian, if a Californian (whether here or in CA) says "The 5", I like to ask "Which 5?".

I once was digging around in our spice drawer, and spotted a bag of garam masala, but thought for a second that the label on it said "german measles". You can imagine my relief once I read it correctly.

Nothing wrong with using MLS clubs as a stepping stone. In fact, a decent argument could be made for clubs (especially our Timbers) to function more like stepping stones. But dude and his agent should have been more thorough when deciding to sign the contract.
