But like… if you are worried, as an indie author at this moment, that people will stop buying from Amazon, there is something you can do.
Don’t renew KU next time when you’re up and go wide.

I’m sorry. I also feel bad for the kids you coached. They probably thought you were the coolest. And they’ll let their families and administration know they miss their awesome coach *from the NFL*!!

Are you a federal worker in Kansas City affected by job cuts? KCUR would like to hear from you for future reporting.

Did you try it, and if so, was it extra relaxing?

I went to a concert in a different city in 1999. Printed out MapQuest directions to the arena. Followed them. Ended up in a residential neighborhood about 20 miles from the venue. SO LOST. Surprisingly, made it to the concert after all.

One of the most popular books at my kid’s elementary school was a DK Lego encyclopedia. It was literally falling apart at the seams. We donated a brand-new version to replace it. The librarian was so appreciative, because she knew that what matters is that the child loves the book.

Maybe he could put a penny in a jar every time he forgets an apostrophe and then donate the proceeds back to the treasury.

I read one that was the opposite. It was NOT trying to be a slow burn, in fact it had lots of banging, but it FELT like a slow burn because it was slow to move along. It was basically the same scene over and over again, no relationship or plot progress. And it wasn’t trying to be erotica either.

Listen, I’m from Kansas City, and I’m not into it either.

Davids is a Democrat—just have to throw that out there so she doesn’t get lumped in with “Kansas Republicans.” 😊 But regardless, glad to see they’re actually agreeing on something and trying to speak up about it.

Fighting shit like this is like planting trees. The best time was five years ago; the second best time is now.
It’s now NOW.

I knew something was up over there a few months ago when I got an ad with intentionally upsetting content re: a hot button issue. I’m not naming the issue because I don’t want to be spammed. My ads are normally for beauty products, shoes, etc…then, THAT? I NAIVELY reported it as being inappropriate.

I will request my library order the paperback. I finally let go my Kindle Unlimited subscription after the election…a tiny sacrifice in the big scheme of things, but I do miss my authors who only/mostly publish on KU. ☹️

For winter, I have 2 nightgowns but want one more, plus about 3 pajama pants that I usually wear with t-shirts. One full set of flannel pjs for really cold nights. In summer, 4 lightweight nightgowns.

All pretty good titles, though. The only one not resonating with me is The Green Hat.
