I'm curious. If the Israel's military had the capacity to strike a specific target through their bedroom wall, what the eff happened in Gaza?

So the removal of non-essential personnel from the US Embassy in Baghdad was what, a coincidence?

Since writing this article, I have received messages from federal civil servants who tell me it is accurate, and that they are frightened. Please share this with anyone who doesn't understand the scale of the transformation. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...

In a past life, when my brain got involved more, I wrote the attached. Obviously, perceived exceptionality is subjective, but it cautions that this week's furious tempest is simply a precursor to the moderate storm in the next. But, if the storm came first, it would seem an aberration.

'Rewriting History' is an overused phrase. Often it is used to simply devalue a differing perspective... But we all watched this happen. Trump watched this happen. In this case 'rewriting History' is entirely appropriate, as is 'rewriting the present'. edition.cnn.com/2025/02/20/p...

This article asks the question of when and how AI reductions of news stories will cause real world harm. I find it inconcievable that we have not already passed that point. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Thus rendering the original to appear as if fact, and any challenge to appear as comment/conjecture. It probably isn't new, for the narrative to be dictated by they who can tell the most convincing tale. But more than 40 years ago, this scale of reach was unimaginable www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

I am intrigued to know whether it is staff or a bot that controls Elon Musk Twitter feed. If it is an AI Bot, then it is an apt demonstration of such technology's capacity to steer an international discourse/narrative.

Fortunate that it's only about darts. But what if it is about the outcome of a trial or an incorrectly named suspect in our febrile political climate? There's enough intentional misinformation out there, without benign systems spewing it involuntarily. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Israel's manipulation and restructure of the water supply has been a feature of its deprivation and control strategy towards Palestinians for decades. It's refreshing to see these acts being highlighted, but it's not clear why they are treated in discussions as new behaviours.
