I want indie devs to make the types of games they're passionate about but sometimes I just want them to understand that surely not EVERYONE wants to play glorified mtg

I would rather receive a rejection letter

I think I understand better now why I've been so reticent to present my photography online, or even art more broadly. it's not purely an issue of self-esteem—I think of posting as an essentially disposable act, and I do not want to make disposable work

and yet! and yet, I could choose exposure #9. I could paste it to a wall and suddenly "it's pretty, but" becomes something that touches others

I always considered my work "not good enough" in comparison to what I loved, but even beyond the proverbial "two cakes," of course a photo that has been chosen and presented will seem more meaningful to me than exposure #9 on the latest roll, next to the overexposed one and the one with bad framing

this feels self-centered but. I joined the 写真部, so today I went to their spring exhibition. some of the photos that deeply struck me emotionally also reminded me of photos I would never would have dared to dream I could present in a gallery. but there they were. making me feel things

If you haven’t see Kiss Kiss Bang Bang then you’re missing out on one of the best comedic performances of the 2000s

especially if you don't have, say, the doo wop pastiche

that's like a standard genre of album deep cut. you gotta have it

I misremembered, afaik just apathy is not well-loved in the current fandom but be born is the real punching bag. which like c'mon, every band needs a classic country & western pastiche

like the mandarake search results almost seem to have more R18 doujinshi than merch. there is this cute mug though

I am sorry to report that I've barely seen it in tokyo, even (granted I'm not exactly in akiba a lot, but still. I moved here partway through s2)
it's really strange for 1. a kirara series that 2. got two anime seasons

ironically it would've been simpler to figure out if I was cis. would've been a cut and dry lesbian awakening, instead of ?????????????????

I mean in fairness I was never In the og fandom, maybe I was always an outlier for liking it. but those key changes and the fakeout buildup are killer

(should be "House encounters a rape victim who challenges..." I'd assume it was unintentional if they just accidentally a word, but given the amount missing and the topic, seems intentional. but, like, why)

seems likely a quip written for this specific moment that got backformed into a catchphrase later

oh I *definitely* saw a photoset of this monologue like a decade ago on tumblr
probably with a reply rightly pointing out it's kinda condescending for him to make this speech to cameron...that also completely forgets that house is disabled

I do like that the B plot's reflection of the A plot is house being Very Particular About His Space

pretty sure I saw this one on tv, it's more familiar than some of them
(s3 so far has been more familiar, I think that's where the reruns/marathons I was watching back in 2008ish picked up. I mostly watched house in syndication)

I'd forgotten my earbuds at home so I had to hold my phone up to my ear. storm drain next to browning grass in the condo parking lot

the servers write your order down the usual way, this is just how it's processed in the kitchen. more efficient for the cook to glance at pickles and condiment packets than to read a server's handwriting

it's such a fundamental part of his character. like in any other case you'd expect him to say something real insensitive but then immediately get disgusted at, say, the patient's parents' reaction or something and yell at them. just poor writing
