Maybe less of a bait and switch. That would imply they knew how big search advertising was going to be. I think they did start off with the intention to make a useful thing, and even when the sustainability question arose they didn’t want to sell out to a single investor. It was a Pandora’s box.

They are slowly moving you away from a search habit to Gemini… but how will that make them money? Surely they wouldn’t create an LLM with advertising in it? _Surely they wouldn’t be that evil?_

Congrats! I hope it sells like hot cakes.

Why can’t legislative debates start like this? Then at least you know everyone is starting the debate from the same level of knowledge.

Bigger text isn’t for increased legibility, it’s for visual hierarchy. Whitespace isn’t wasted space either. Larger visual elements need more space.

Similar! What I learned in Vienna: Baroque is boring. Schiele was a paedo. The most interesting thing i found was the permanent memorials to kristalnacht.

Considering most service based economies rely almost entirely on tax avoidance, crime and money laundering, I’d say an unregulated worldwide currency is extremely important.

I don’t know what the future holds, but I know it will be neither doom nor utopia. It will probably be, for most people, quite boring. Just as now.

But what about quantum autism? One of Schrödinger’s lesser known
theorems is that the only way of proving objectively whether vaccines cause autism is if you start to throw antivaxxers off a cliff and see if the volume decreases.

I wouldn’t worry that this is a sign of support for Elon increasing. They could be moving stock around to fill orders quicker. New and used Tesla prices are cratering, sales are failing YoY, competition is fierce, and the brand is in the toilet. Uk-only MoM sales aren’t going to change Elon’s fate!

Tesla was cutting prices, and road tax on EVs has changed. I think people were trying to get in before the April increases.
