Powerful Die In outside Malliotakis’ BK office. NY11 deserves healthcare & essential services, not tax cuts for billionaires! Thanks to the NY11 Healthcare for All Coalition & @1199seiu.org for amazing community organizing! @indivisible.org @citizenactionny.bsky.social @riseandresist.bsky.social

If I see one more grown and well paid man say they couldn’t do a marginally brave thing because they were afraid of threats I am going to lose my mind

WILD: Donors from outside NYC are spending 💰 on a sham City Council candidate against a progressive leader. This prop candidate said she has “no relationship” w her plutocrat donor Len Blavatnik. Turns out Blavatnik runs a company with her father and brother. www.cityandstateny.com/politics/202...

NEWS: After an emergency meeting of Indivisible groups across the country, Indivisible is officially calling on Senate Minority Leader Schumer to step down from his leadership position. indivisible.org/statements/i...

This is a BIG deal and we 💯 agree that it’s past time for @schumer.senate.gov to step aside.

250 people or so at Chuck Schumer's house this morning

AOC: It is almost unthinkable why Senate Democrats would vote to to hand the few pieces of leverage that we have away for free when we've been sent here to protect social security, protect medicaid, and protect medicare.

Bernie Sanders: "If you do nothing, you sit back and say, 'it's gonna be terrible.' And that's right. A shutdown will be terrible. But our job is to put the onus on the Republican president, the Republican House, the Republican Senate, the people who control the govt"

This is a signal to the American people that Democrats will not fight for them. We have to be using our votes for leverage right now. To protect the social services folks are asking us to. To invest in our communities. Otherwise Republicans will just keep running us over.

Gov employee told me he supports doing everything to stand up to lawlessness even at cost of his job. He understood the odds are tough with Republican control. But our nation was founded on long odds against authoritarianism. I’ll say again, I’m voting NO on cloture/CR tomorrow.

This is exactly right but so commonly misunderstood.

You know people are furious when they show up at an 8am protest at @schumer.senate.gov house. Chuck you are betraying us. It’s not too late to change your mind and actually fight back! @indivisible.org @socialists.nyc @riseandresist.bsky.social @marisakabas.bsky.social @50501newyork.bsky.social

This is the most nonsensical interview I’ve heard in a long time. “We are going to fight them on everything…” (except this one thing right here where we actually have some leverage…)

No Dem Senator has to follow Schumer here. This is a weak stategic move driven by fear and learned helplessness. Don't follow him. He's leading the party into irrelevance and helping Trump and Musk in the process. Call your Dem Senators and ask them not to join Schumer's surrender tomorrow.

“Tim Walz is headed back out on the road – this time, for a tour of House districts represented by Republicans who have stopped holding in-person town halls amid the raucous receptions some of their colleagues have gotten across the country.” www.cnn.com/2025/03/12/p...

I haven't verified this, but I respect Josh, and head fakes like this are typical. That said, DC is less House of Cards and more Mean Girls/Veep. There may be a master plan, but just as likely things are chaos. Outside pressure works in that environment. So tell Senate Dems today: NO on cloture.

There’s no reason to have a Democratic Party if it won’t go to the mat to save the Department of Education. It’s a fundamental belief that children in America deserve better futures. It’s tremendously simple. You cannot continue funding a government that would close this.

Wonder where we’d be today if @schumer.senate.gov had taken @bkindivisible.bsky.social advice in 2021?

If we can "avoid a government shutdown" by voting for this CR, then why is the entire Department of Education closed today? Why is USAID closed? Why are hundreds of billions in grant contracts frozen? We are already in the shutdown. And your votes DON'T stop it. In fact, they allow it to expand.

A top economics reporter goes off script on national TV: “I am going to say this at risk of my job, but what President Trump is doing is insane.”

if you find yourself reluctant to support the guy at Columbia because you find some of the politics he espoused distasteful or even abhorrent, you should know that this is exactly the reaction that they hoped for in choosing him as a target for unlawful detention based on political speech.

My congressman @repdangoldman.bsky.social still hasn’t acknowledged the abduction and detention of Mahmoud Khalil. His office numbers for constituents: Brooklyn: (718) 312-7575 Manhattan: (212) 822-7878 DC: (202) 225-7944 Email him: goldman.house.gov/address_auth...

STILL waiting for @schumer.senate.gov, Gillibrand, @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social, @danielsgoldman.dg4ny.co, @repyvetteclarke.bsky.social to make a public statement about the ICE disappearance of Mahmoud Khalil… Thank you to @velazquez.house.gov for speaking out already!!

There were howls of protest and denial from the GOP any time we pointed out that Republicans want to cut Social Security. Now the most powerful official in the White House goes on TV and calls it "the big one to eliminate."

Apparently, you can't say or write "cancer moonshot" or "peanut allergy" without permission if you work at the National Cancer Institute. 🤷‍♂️ www.propublica.org/article/nati...

My fear is that the Trump administration arrested Mahmoud Khalil to make an example out of him because they’re gambling Dems won’t put their jobs and lives on the line to protect a Palestinian.

Built 100+ tombstones for the 3/15 Healthcare March & Die In 🪦☠️ Join us at Foley Sq at 11am www.mobilize.us/indivisiblen... @indivisible.org @maketheroadny.bsky.social @popdemocaction.bsky.social @peoplesplannyc.bsky.social @50501newyork.bsky.social @foodandwater.bsky.social @1199seiu.org

A beautiful day to talk w/ + give flyers to NY11 constituents re: (1) how the upcoming House budget cuts to services will hurt their communities (2) how to call Rep. Malliotakis at (718) 306-1620 to urge her to fight (3) do a little stickering about what DOGE is really up to. @indivisible.org

Gregg is a former Marine and Forest Service ranger. He's saved the lives of hikers dangling off a cliff or going through cardiac arrest, and he's bravely fought forest fires to save small rural towns. 100% of his salary is paid by WA state. Elon fired him. Share his story.

👀 Find one near you. ➡️ Boston-area folks, ours is Saturday morning.

Take note of the messaging - this is both accurate and *deeply* unpopular. It's the kind of thing that forces GOP House members to quietly tell their constituents that they too are concerned about Musk. Make them own this. Make them squirm.

Dear Rep. Goldman, As group w many of your constituents, do not waste time telling people what to get upset about. Trump declaring himself king is worth hyperventilating about! Don’t get distracted from doing all YOU can to fight, i.e. your leverage during the budget negotiations. Focus on that.

Here at the Health & Human Services (HHS) rally in Washington, DC, to support our federal workers! Interesting chant from the crowd. “Hey, hey, RFK! We remember JFK!” Rep. Jamie Raskin spoke first and compared JFK’s championing of science & human rights to RFK’s anti-science stance.

I've noted some of the procedural things Democrats could be doing in Congress, but this point from @edgeofsports.bsky.social's great piece in the Nation deserves emphasis. This is basic politics, and it's baffling that every Democrat isn't doing it every day. www.thenation.com/article/poli...

Feels like Democrat elected officials are also hiding from constituents - we sure hope @schumer.senate.gov and @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social’s offices respond to our request for meetings 😇 @indivisible.org @leahgreenberg.bsky.social @ezralevin.bsky.social

No one gives a shit if Gabbard is confirmed at 12:30 am or 11 am. Who cares? She probably isn't getting sworn in till the morning anyway. What EVERYONE has been demanding is that Democrats make confirmations as costly as humanly possible for the Republicans. They are REFUSING to do this.

Democracy needs everyone in the streets on Monday! events.pol-rev.com/events/9fe63...

Elon is not elected, but he's not invulnerable. He's got offices like this all over the country.

Sharing from a friend the new terms for National Endowment for the Arts Grants: If you "promote gender ideology" in your work or if you promote diversity, equity. and inclusion, you are no longer eligible to apply for a National Endowment for the Arts grant.

Scenes from a lively rally with hundreds of constituents outside @schumer.senate.gov’s demanding he Resist or Resign! Do your job, Chuck - Democrats should be fighting coups not performing “bipartisanship” with fascists. Cc: @indivisible.org @socialists.nyc
