On Nov. 7th, I told my sociolinguistics students this was going to happen. They did an activity on language policy and one of the lessons was that repressive regimes always try to criminalize languages that are not ideologically associated with nationalism. I’m sorry I was right.

My biggest complaint about @bsky.app is the lack of musicians on it. I would love to see more and definitely more support for music. They are hurting with the current political climate, as is all art, and could use a new space to spread the word about their art. It is a void that needs filling.

After two weeks of pain, two trips to urgent care, multiple scans, hundreds of dollars spent, and multiple times of being told that they wouldn't drain what i knew was a cyst, it finally popped on its own and I am in so much less pain. Time to keep it clean, take my antibiotics, and let it heal.

I have worked hard to try and help VA patients get the help that they need at my job in rural healthcare. This infuriates me because the VA relies on contracts to get vets help, especially in rural areas. Trump, Musk, and this admin have no idea or even care about damage they are doing to our vets.
