Nearly 40 points still to play for so not a done deal, but increasingly it’s looking like two from three for automatic promotion. In that situation we really do not want to be the ‘three’

Brexit, Five prime ministers in five years - three of whom were forced out by their own MPs. Literally hundreds of ‘revolving door’ ministers, recession, social care plan legislated for then ditched, Trussonomics , ballooning debt etc. etc. ; c’mon Reg, what’s not to celebrate 🥳??!

I was really glad to read this as our one eyed rescue cat, Beebee also likes her heated blanket but I seem to take terrible stick about pandering to her (‘she’s got a fur coat for goodness sake ‘) but she’s quite an old lady now - and a sweetie ♥️

He had two junior ministerial portfolios in HMT, was there about five years and built up huge knowledge and expertise. Sadly the years after - with both Labour and Conservatives incumbents - saw a revolving door, with few in post more than a year: no expertise/incentive to really learn the job

20 odd years ago John Healey was a junior Treasury minister and me a young (ish) policy official in the civil service. Dealt with him a lot - including getting legislation through Parliament, and he was brilliant: totally on top of his brief and treated his civil servants with respect

Messsge to Tories : you fought an entire election campaign on culture wars , not highlighting a single achievement of the 14 years you had been in power. It failed. Dismally.
What makes you think this new variant will be any more successful??

You can’t move for IPA, ridiculously ‘real ale’ pubs will have three or four draft ales and two of them will be IPAs
Breweries are aiming it at lager drinkers, as it’s the same colour and often similar taste . What about serving a good porter or amber ale?

Indeed, there will be a TV series, spin-offs (008, Q, M? Miss Funnyfanny??) and a film every couple of years - one of the reasons the franchise has kept its popularity is that over last 15-20 years films have been well b spaced out, building expectations etc.

This will have the quickest impact on growth than just about anything on the table
I am sure media will roll out the ‘rejoin EU by back door’ nonsense , but instead talk to some pub, restaurant, hotel or hospitality business owners about this measure- they will be 100% positive

It ain’t rocket science : they’re rich and young so into conspicuous consumption - so bling, designer stuff, top end cars; you can check their schedules so know when the road trips are for them and their trophy wives. Also their mock-Tudor style mansions will be away from other properties & walled

I’m British and live in the West Pennine Moors (Google it) so I doubt I could have watched it even if I had wanted to .
My point was I find the sport boring - apart from the punch-ups . Similarly basketball - although it’s not an anti -American thing as I love NFL and MLB !

The wonderful Peter Cushing - a fantastic actor .
I suppose best known for his role as Tarkin in Star Wars . But to Brits probably his work with Christopher Lee in Hammer Horror movies

No which is why he is keeping his counsel. Question number one would be : do you agree with Trumpton’s latest utterances on Ukraine. Total derision if he says yes , and any future invites to Shang-gri-La cancelled if he says no
