"Griffin doesn’t allege that these [60k voters he's challenging] did anything wrong... he argues that their votes should be junked for clerical discrepancies that weren't their fault, and he didn't express any concerns until after he lost the race" www.theatlantic.com/newsletters/...

Seems like a good day to say how proud I am of the work I did at the Perkins Coie Political Law Group for 8 years and how strongly I recommend both clients and law students to do business with/work at the firm.

re: my previous post, I'd like to introduce into evidence the exhibit previously marked "Lost Democrats Ex. 2"

I agree with @gavinnewsom.bsky.social's premise that dialogue, common ground, and rediscovery of shared values with a broader coalition of Americans are necessary callings for Democrats But complete capitulation? Total lack of preparation? Wild over-correction? Democrats have so, so lost the plot

You might not always agree with your teammate's decision, but you're always supposed to have his back. Otherwise you're not a team at all.

you’re fired. wait you’re rehired. email us a list of things you’ve done today wait forget it you’re fired again. come back your job was important. you’re fired. or hired. come in to the office. wait the office has no computers go home. we are the department of government efficiency.

Trump’s trans kid story last night was — I’m sure you’ll be *shocked* to find — a load of hooey reason.com/2025/03/05/t...

For the first time, the Democratic National Committee (DNC), Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC), and Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) are all represented by female General Counsels.” elias.law/newsroom/pre...

MAYHEM: Guaranteed to be a better Gaga album than it is a governing style. In a world where little is certain, at least we can count on that. 🕺

I wrote an open memo to liberal donors, pro-democracy funders, and anyone stuck in inaction because they just don't know where to start. After last night's speech, no more waiting, help is needed now. This post offers a roadmap, please feel free to share it broadly www.linkedin.com/pulse/open-l...

Good to see SCOTUS uphold foreign aid, but this headline (like the dissenting justices) misses the point. It is Congress, not a judge, who is requiring payment. Court is applying the law and Constitution to prevent Trump from defying Congress!

Thank you again, thank you again. I won't forget it.

Could SOMEONE on MSNBC speak up for innocent trans Americans who were ruthlessly made Trump's pawns and punching bags and political cover tonight? @maddow.msnbc.com, @nicollewallace.bsky.social, @jenpsaki.msnbc.com, @stephruhle.bsky.social, @chrislhayes.bsky.social Just one word in their defense?

My heart is ripped to shreds for my spectacular, talented, beautiful, singular trans friends. His smallness would be so easy to write off if he wasn’t doing so much harm to so many innocents. 💜 🏳️‍⚧️

What he said about Social Security payments has been repeatedly debunked - so the question isn’t whether he’s lying about this, the question is why. What is this a pretext for? He and the GOP have long shown interest in going after Social Security. What are they going to try?

Facts are for suckers, but at least I'm self-aware. apnews.com/article/doge...

It was just 6 1/2 months ago — 234 days — that this guy got shot in the ear. Everything just needs to slow down.

Permanent RIF, or cleaning house in order to hire Trump loyalists to serve as political attack agents? Because those are two very, very different things.

Has there been a more consequential SOTU/Joint Address in recent memory? They’re usually a healthy mix of bluster, bombast, and genuinely important civic duty, but there are three potentially world-tilting themes I’ll be watching for tonight:

I think this from @jonfavs.bsky.social on today's @podsaveamerica.crooked.com really nails it re: Trump's drivers. Kompromat? Almost certainly. Business debt to Moscow? Sure. But more than anything, it's just... smallness disguised as bigness. Fear masked by anger. Weakness in drag as strength.

I saw the billboards for season six of Handmaid’s Tale but I thought they said it started in April

and there it is

Trump said a few minutes ago that Zelenskyy should be more appreciative. Here's the transcript from the beginning of his joint address to Congress on 12/21/22. Facts are for suckers, I guess.

Bravo, give them an honorary Oscar this weekend. CEOs everywhere should read this before obeying in advance.

When Trump fired the top JAG officers I recalled his plan to have the military seize voting machines after 2020. Back then it was *Rudy Giuliani* who told him there was no legal basis to do this. Who will stop him now that all the JAGs are gone? My explainer: www.criticalmass.vote/p/flashback-...

The USPS doesn't get enough credit for its work around mail ballots.. it's made advances in sorting/tracking tech so election mail is prioritized, it keeps open communication with the political and election communities, etc Will a privatized postal service care as much? www.cnn.com/2025/02/21/b...

the short version of this eo: pamelo jo bondi and donald trump are now the FEC's lawyers. the agency can't pass any rule, issue any guidance, or take any legal position in a court case that bondi, trump, and/or the WH office of OIRA don't sign off on. www.npr.org/2025/02/20/n...
